‣ Hit us with your algorithm stick!
With 200,000 gigs added, it was about time to revamp Gigit's search engine. So we did. And oh Snap! The new algorithm is a dancer.

Yes, we saw your music Wrapped on your socials. Great taste! Let’s make personal charts in Gigit, too.
Click ‘Advanced search & sorting’ on your profile page and play around with the filter and sorting options to create all the custom charts you want.

The live music world is slowly opening up; Time for a new app update! Check out the new gig pages, photo galleries, venue pages, artist pages and so much more! Like a social share function… spamming your friends with your live music memories has never been so easy!

Just a quick notification to notify you that we've made a notification box in the app. Also: the menu has been changed, loads of gigs have been added, bugs have been fixed, performance has been improved, suey has been chopped and time has been wasted on reading this message. So stop doing that and go and check out the new version of the app. See you there!

New concerts and even a few festivals have been announced. Time for a new update! With a shiny happy new ‘Explore page’ you’ll instantly find recently added gigs and trending events. Also some bugs have been fixed and a new update is eager to hit the stores as well. Let’s go!

You've sent us so many good ideas and feedback. Awesome! We're on it!
Here are some things we would already like to share with you...
- Choose your profile picture. You could only take a new picture for your profile, it was not possible to choose one from your phone. Fair enough, nobody looks good on a Sunday-afternoon-selfie. Now you can choose that one great picture of your summer holiday in 2012.
- Who digged my gig? Other users could already dig your gigs (/like your gigs, but we liked 'digging' better. Dig it, gig it, you know? We're so creative and that). However, you couldn't see who digged your gig. Now you can! We've also added a push message, so you'll immediately know who is sending you these good vibes.
- Expanded rating score. You can now rate with halves and quarters.
- The order of the gigs. Many of you were asking for a chronologically ordered Liveline. Makes sense! Your own Liveline (on your profile page) will now be chronologically ordered based on the gig date. Your friends' Liveline will stay ordered based on the adding date, so you'll never miss a single gig of your friends. If you'd like to choose the order of the gigs yourself, stay tuned, we're working on a filter function :)
- Longer reviews. Sometimes a gig leaves you speechless and sometimes you could write a book about it. Apparently, many of you like to write books. But the limited number of characters in the review-field wouldn't let you. Now it will!
- More confirmation messages. Sometimes we left you in doubt. Has my gig been added? Has my picture been uploaded? No doubts anymore with these extra confirmation messages. Pling!
- Improved picture upload. We're constantly working on the speed of the app. We've improved the upload speed of pictures (but it will be even faster soon!)
What are we working on?
Unfortunately, you can't see everything we do "at the front" of the app. Technical blabla, security thingies, legal shizzle, etc etc. But believe us, we're also working on cool stuff :) For example, we're working on improving the concert archive functionalities and a smarter "check-in-flow". So, please bear with us. The best is yet to come!
