Critical bug fixed of iDrumStar v1.4 update.
Dear iDrumStar customers,
We apologize for recent update of "iDrumStar v1.4 (free and in-app purchased)".
Our original plan was to release iDrumStarPro and iDrumStar(free and in-app purchased) in same time.
However,we found that the s/w(iDrumStar v1.4) has a bug to update for existed users after it released.
So we stopped sale for few days until bug free released otherwise many people confused by this update.
Two things that we WORRYING about bad case are below.
#1. Customer who bought iDrumStar twice because of bug.(original users)
It could be more but we just stopped to sale after few hours when iDrumStar v1.4 released,
that's why you can't find it from iTunes.
This is what happened to customer.
1-1. They bought iDrumStar v1.2 pro by in-app purchased method.
1-2. They updated iDrumStar v1.4 then suddenly iDrumStar v1.4 said that this is "LITE"
1-3. So customer clicked "Buy Pro" again because they thought they already purchased by 1-1.
1-4. Then customer found that there was new purchasing.(this occurred by s/w bug)
1-5. Customer felt bad.
#2. Customer bought(Pro version by in-pp purchase method) iDrumStar v1.4 only single purchase then if they update iDrumStar v1.41 ... then iDrumStar v1.41 will be changed for "LITE" version.
This is what will happen to customer
2-1.They download iDrumStar v1.4 at the first time.
2-2.They purchased iDrumStar v1.4 pro by in-app purchased method.
2-3.They will update iDrumStar v1.41
2-4.Then suddenly iDrumStar v1.41 will say this is "LITE"
2-5. So customer will click "Buy Pro" again because they thought they already purchased by 2-1.
2-6. Then customer will found that there is new purchasing.
2-7. Customer feel bad.
In sales report from Apple says that there is approximately less than 150 customers bought twice over the world.
We know that new release can't solve problem #1,#2 perfectly.
However we want to protect and avoid somebody buy iDrumStar twice more and more.
For your information below code is the root problem of this happen.
ProductID[DRUM_STAR] = @"com.appstars.idrumstar_full_package"; <-- This was original v1.2 , shouldn't be changed forever.
You updated... then below code is working which made unexpected happen.
ProductID[DRUM_STAR] = @"com.appstars.idrumstar_pro_package"; <-- I used this code v1.4,my mistake.. maybe sleepy coding...
Main problem is the name of product name in my code.
So,second line of code made this whole disaster.(just one line of code)
New release iDrumStar v1.41 using the original correct code now.
we'll find a solution how to recover those customer's double purchased by unexpected situation.
Today We've got approval Email from Apple which was rapid processed by Apple.(just within 2 days)
Once again we are very sorry for this happen.
