About iziCast

iziCast is a versatile audio and video broadcaster.

You can broadcast audio from the internal microphone, external audio devices, audio files and Audiobus compatible apps to Icecast, Shoutcast and RTMP servers.
Live video from your camera can be broadcasted to any RTMP compatible service, such as YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and Telegram.
Any of the supported audio sources listed above can be combined with your live camera.

When using RTMP you can decide if you want to use one of your device cameras as video source or simply an image.
In case of an image it is up to you if you want to stream a single image, the album cover of the current track or just a black image to save bandwidth.
The image can be changed during the broadcast and you can even let iziCast write text like the current song on the image.

Besides that, iziCast comes with a lot more features. Have a look at the list below to find out what else iziCast can do.

1.9.8
Mar 22, 2024
• You can now select a preferred input sample rate for your audio device in the iziCast settings. This new feature has the following advantages
- Some audio devices like the Alesis MultiMux 12 USB claim to support 48000 Hz but do not deliver any audio data when initialized with this sample rate.
To fix this, you can set the preferred input sample rate to 44100 Hz.
- If your audio device supports high sample rates like 96000 Hz, you can set the preferred input sample rate to that value and stream FLAC at 96000 Hz.

• iziCast will now remember the last used camera.
• Only resolutions that are supported by the current camera are available to choose from.

1.7.1
Sep 11, 2023
This release adds RTMP support to iziCast. With RTMP you can broadcast audio to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and any other RTMP compatible streaming service.
Since RTMP streaming services require video and audio, iziCast can use an image as video information. It is up to you if you want to stream a single image, the album cover of the current track or just an empty image. The image can be changed during the broadcast and you can even let iziCast write text like the current song on the image.

Change log:
• Add RTMP support
• AAC: Use CBR (constant bitrate) instead of ABR (Average Bit Rate)
• Prepare for upcoming iOS 17

Some audio devices allow setting a hardware gain. The previous iziCast version (1.4.6) sets the hardware gain to 1.0. Unfortunately this causes distortions with some microphones.
To give you more control over the hardware gain it can now be changed with the Pre Gain slider in the Mixer section.
Note: The Pre Gain slider is only visible if the selected audio device supports setting a hardware gain.
