About Japanese News & Kanji Learning

This app mainly consists of Japanese daily news, Mainichi Shogakusei Shinbun, and Kanji learning using the articles. The articles are specially edited for the children aged 7 to 12 in Japan. You can read all the Kanji with the help of Hiragana. This way, the articles are easy for the children to read, but the subjects of the articles include politics, economy and science like the news the adults usually read. You can read 5 new articles every day from Monday to Friday and 1 on Saturday except the national holidays in Japan.

The most unique part of this app is Kanji learning. In Kanji learning mode, you need to select the grade from 1st, the easiest, to 6th, the most difficult. The Kanji characters of the selected grade turn blank in the articles and you need to answer by hand writing the right Kanji.

If you are learning the Japanese language as a foreign language, this app would be a great help to be more familiar with the words used in the news and to learn more Kanji.

Please note that the menu and messages in this app are all in Japanese.
This product uses handwriting recognition software licensed by PUX Corporation.
