About Greek Verb Blitz
Learn and practise Greek verbs with this interactive verb reference and drill tool. With over 220 core verbs across tenses, Greek Verb Blitz is a clear and effective way to refresh and revise your grammar skills as well as expand your everyday vocabulary.
As well as a verb reference, there is a set of intensive verb drill activities to quiz your conjugation knowledge, including:
- Infinitive quiz: do you know the meaning of the each verb?
- Conjugation quiz: can you select the correct verb form for the English translation?
- Snap quiz: can you spot when the Greek and English sentences match? Try to get ten in a row!
- Gapfill: can you spell out the missing word in the conjugated sentence?
In the settings, you can select which tenses to drill in the games. So whether you're a beginner, or already on the way to mastery, there's a level for you!
The app will track your scores throughout the games, so you can check in the Performance section at any time to see the entries you're finding trickiest.
The verbs selected represent some of the most commonly used Greek words, so the app offers a great way to increase and practise your everyday vocabulary, too!

In the settings section, you’ll find sliders to adjust the speed of the multichoice and snap games. Speed them up for a challenge, or slow them right down to revise at leisure. It’s your call! Also, when playing the games, there is now the option to select the set “10 Essential Verbs” to focus on, so you can really blitz those fundamentals. We hope you enjoy the update. Happy learning!

You can now adjust the speed of the snap and multichoice games. You'll find the relevant sliders in the settings section. Play at a rate of knots to challenge yourself, or slow it right down to practise at your leisure! The choice is yours. Happy learning!

This update corrects an issue on some iOS versions where the Infinitive Quiz failed to start properly. Thanks to the user who spotted and reported that bug. We've also added a few seconds to the multichoice quiz timer while we work on a custom option for that in the settings. We like a challenge, but ten seconds was maybe a little too stingy for some of the more demanding tenses! Happy learning!

As well as some minor under-the-hood improvements, we've scoobied up the main menu to work nicely across a wider variety of screen sizes. This also makes it easier for us to add some exciting new sections and activities over the coming months.
