About Irish Verb Blitz
Learn and practise Irish verbs with this interactive verb reference and drill tool. With over 110 core verbs, Irish Verb Blitz is a clear and effective way to refresh and revise your grammar skills as well as expand your everyday vocabulary.
As well as a verb reference, there is a set of intensive verb drill activities to quiz your conjugation knowledge, including:
- Infinitive quiz: do you know the meaning of the each verb?
- Conjugation quiz: can you select the correct verb form for the English translation?
- Snap quiz: can you spot when the Irish and English sentences match? Try to get ten in a row!
- Gapfill: can you spell out the missing word in the conjugated sentence?
The app will track your scores throughout the games, so you can check in the Performance section at any time to see the entries you're finding trickiest.
The verbs selected represent some of the most commonly used Irish words, so Irish Verb Blitz is a great way to increase and practise your everyday vocabulary, too!

Some lovely new features for Gaeilge fans in this update. First of all, you can now change the speed of the timed games (infinitive / conjugation / snap quiz) in the settings section. Play at your leisure or at a rate of knots, it's up to you! Also, you can now choose to play the games with the set "10 Essential Verbs" to hammer those basics. The verb bí is also included in the tables and games now, too. Happy learning!

This update corrects an issue on some iOS versions where the Infinitive Quiz failed to start properly. Thanks to the user who spotted and reported that bug. We've also added a few seconds to the multichoice quiz timer while we work on a custom option for that in the settings. We like a challenge, but ten seconds was maybe a little too stingy for some of the more demanding tenses! Happy learning!

The case of the missing verb parts: solved! The conditional of "ith" was not displaying, so that's been sorted now. Sorry if you were looking for it and couldn't find it. It's back now and feeling *very* comfortable. Happy learning!
