Each shared path has a finite life span after which it will be replaced by a new path. The new path provides new server instances, IP addresses, and encryption keys. Your traffic is seamlessly transferred to new shared paths when they are provisioned.

All IDVector paths consist of two server instances -- an ingress and egress -- with multiple layers of strong cryptography from end to end. This topology is important for your privacy and anonymity because it helps disassociate your IP address from the IP address of the ultimate egress point (the place where your traffic actually hits the Internet).

IDVector is a pay-to-use service although the app is free to download. You may pay for IDVector service via either a manually purchased access pass or an auto-renewing subscription. Subscriptions and passes are available in 1 week and 1 month increments. Subscriptions to IDVector receive a discount versus access passes of the same length and include a 1 week free trial. Subscriptions cost $2.99 weekly and $9.99 monthly and are automatically renewed 24 hours prior to the end of the subscription period.
