受制于空气质量监测设备高昂的价格，目前，以北京市为例，全市仅有30多个空气质量监测站点，而这远远满足不了全市各地点空气质量实时监测的需求。
为了解决这一现状，由北京邮电大学网络技术研究院BNRC实验室出品的sensoriosclient软件，是以参与式感知为基础、AR拍摄为辅助、PM2.5计算为核心的空气质量监测、预报手机软件。只要有人的地方，就会成为一个观测站点，通过用户拍照上传，进行照片分析处理，从而实现实时、实地监测和预报空气质量。
该软件主要实现以下功能：
1.POI站点采样，用户使用该软件可以在指定地方设立照片收集采样点，成为我们照片收集者群体中的一员；
2.AR拍摄，辅助用户拍摄，通过分析照相时的姿态，确保照片的可用性；
3.PM2.5计算，通过图片分析相关算法，计算出该POI站点的PM2.5值。
借助该软件，用户可以参与到预测城市PM2.5的活动中来，为城市的空气质量监测贡献自己的一份力量。
