About Wing – Parental Safety App
***Instant alerts if there’s a cause for concern***
Wing helps to protect your child when they’re online. Unlike other social media monitoring apps, Wing doesn’t report back on all of your child’s conversations. But you’ll be alerted straightaway if it spots anything that could be considered a threat to their wellbeing - like online bullying, or explicit content. This way, your child’s privacy and independence are protected so they can carry on safely building the relationships that matter to them online.
***Insights into your child's online wellbeing***
Wing uses secure AI technology to detect emotions contained in the words and images your child exchanges online. The app assesses the 5 core human emotions: happiness, sadness, fear, anger and disgust. You’ll get a daily report showing how many posts your child has exchanged, as well as the emotional content of their interactions. The app displays this information in an ‘emotional landscape’, showing the highs and lows of each emotion.
***Guidance on looking after your child’s emotional wellbeing***
Wing gives you access to resources to help you support your child through difficult situations, and have better conversations with your family. You’ll get guidance on issues that could affect how your child is feeling - like sleep, confidence and relationships. And if the app detects any trends in the data, it will send you relevant tips for looking after your child’s emotional wellbeing.
