About Cambridge Science

Created by Cambridge University Press, Cambridge Science is an app using 360-degree technology.
You’ll find 360-degree videos and photos grouped into categories such as: Earth, Water, Plants, Solar System and the Human Body. Visit stunning landscapes and breathtaking places, both real and digital. Learn lots of interesting facts. (Re)discover your love of science, whether you’re a child or a grown-up.
The app is developed in Spanish and English and reviewed for its educational content. So it's informative family-oriented fun and is ideal for building knowledge of English.
Cambridge Science also includes a question and answer game aimed at primary school children. Adapted to the different key stages, the game can be used to introduce and revise topics from the pupils’ Science and Social Sciences classes.
You can visit the most spectacular sites, like the mountains of Madrid, the desert of Almeria or the Sierra Nevada in Granada. You can also voyage to the edge of the solar system or delve into the deepest recesses of the human body.
You can enjoy all of these experiences using a virtual reality headset or just your smartphone. Simply choose the way you want to use the app at the start of the experience. Next, you’ll be directed to a menu where you’ll select your category. After that you’ll be able to access the 360-degree videos and photos. Once inside, you can move around naturally, observing from all angles and discovering points of interest displayed by the content. To read the content, hit the relevant spot on the screen if you're using the non-headset version, or focus your eyes on the relevant spot if you're using a virtual reality device. As you can access the photos and videos as many times as you like, each viewing will bring new discoveries.
In the quiz (our question and answer game) you’ll select your level from the menu. The levels are aligned to the primary curriculum of the Spanish education system. All the answers are covered in our Cambridge Science and Social Science books, meaning that this game is an ideal way to both reinforce learning and have family fun.
