"Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it." (Hebrews 2:1). Our prayer is that this app helps you to pay closer attention to the Bible.

This important update includes a better experience for Bible passages in each resource and other minor fixes.

'He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power.' (Hebrews 1:3)

We hope this app helps to appreciate Jesus' glory. In this update, we have included a new resource category for children and youth. More resources will be added soon to help churches and parents.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18–20.

We pray this app helps God's word go out across the world. This update includes an important fix, which caused the live stream feed to crash.

'From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.' Matthew 16:21.

We hope this app helps you to understand why Jesus had to go to the cross. This update includes some important 'under the hood' improvements and some other visual tweaks.

'He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased, listen to him.' (Matthew 17:5)

We hope this app helps you to listen to God's Son. To help, we've made a few improvements, including adding handouts to training videos, where they are available.

There are a few important updates in this app, including support for longer talk series.

She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21). Our prayer is that this app continues to point you to the Son; only he can meet your deepest need.

- Chromecast support
- Fixed an issue with links in articles and some minor formatting issues.

As your name, O God, so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with righteousness. (Psalm 48:10). We hope this app helps you in your walk. Here are some updates to make it better:

- We have a new resource type, 'Training video series' which brings together our training videos into series like talks
- The multifilters work a bit better too
- Other minor tweaks

"So teach us to number our days

Life in this world is futile, except for God and his plans. Hopefully, this minor update will help you in gaining that wisdom. In this version we have again improved the notifications experience and fixed a few small bugs.

“Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you" (John 17:1b). We hope this app works to glorify the Son and your love of him. To help, updates include:
- A bugfix to better display the grand total of resources (we have over 10,000 free resources!)
- Bible passage display now works better
- An issue with blurry video controls is sorted

- An issue where podcasts were incorrectly displaying
- An issue with blurry video controls
- An issue where blank articles or studies were appearing.

- Filtering by speaker now shows regular speakers and a search box.
- Regular speakers are easier to find and filter
- Dark mode option now on the settings page
- A few tweaks to how the resources display.

The Bible Matters team has been encouraged by Colossians 3:23 recently: 'Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men'. All your feedback has helped us to make some more improvements. Our prayer is that we stay focused on the gospel, working for God's glory, not ours. Please do pray for our work as you wait for the app to update. This version will include:

- You can now go forwards or backwards 10 seconds rather than 30 in talks.
- 'Pick up where you left off' on the homepage now works better and is now ordered by most recently played.
- Fixed a bug where talks that are not in a series now download successfully.
- And series navigation works more intuitively. The link between series and talks (and going backwards) should be better.

Also from Colossians (1:16): 'For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

Everyone in the Bible Matters team longs for the new creation, where there will be no bugs. In the meantime, this fallen world has many bugs. This important update fixes some of them and adds some extra small improvements.

Thanks for all your feedback, it's really helping to make the app better for everyone! Here are some more improvements in this version:
- Some tweaks on how assets are ordered
- Extra height/padding allowance for Chinese characters
- More than just the first chapter of the Bible passage will now show if a talk covers the whole book
- Ability to scrub/move position on a talk on lockscreen (Apple only)
- Talk length and duration showing where we have that information
- Icon shows on share screen when sharing resource
- 'beta' added next to livestream on drawer menu to show this is 3rd party/experimental.

Remember, if you come to St Helen's church please do toggle on 'church family alerts' in the notifications menu in settings.

Fixed an issue so that downloaded resources no longer disappear after a new app update.
