Strut was conceived as a game of world exploration - more about seeing and being in all corners of the world and less about tracking flight paths. In an effort to greatly improve the performance of the app as well as to begin to tailor the experience to focus more on local discovery, we are making some big changes ahead of a larger release in the future.
So…
FLYING TILES ARE NOW DISABLED
- From now on, Strutting on flights (over 200 mph or 320 km/h) will no longer add new tiles to your score. All other forms of transportation from walking to driving to sailing will still count.
YOUR TOTAL SCORE MAY GO DOWN…
- If you have used Strut while flying in the past, you will notice a decrease in your total score over the coming weeks as we remove all the flight tiles from the scores of all Strutters. If you’ve never used Strut on a plane, your score should remain the same.
BUT DON’T WORRY!
- Your flight tiles are not gone forever! We’ll save all the tiles you’ve earned up until now, so that we can add them back into your score if we decide to re-enable flying with Strut in a future update.
WE HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND
- By removing flight tiles across the board, we aim to enhance the performance and experience for all Strutters, old and new. These changes will make the app snappier, reduce load times and create a more balanced system that encourages competition on the local and global scale more equally.
