About ae Pronunciation
This app helps students learn to distinguish the various sounds of American English, which is the first step in being able to produce those sounds. The written symbols for the sounds use the International Phonetic Alphabet. All of the words and sounds are pronounced by a native speaker. Students can learn, practice, and take tests on both individual and double sounds. The double sounds, which consist of a consonant and a vowel, help students to hear how individual sounds change in context.
