《楞嚴經》，全稱《大彿頂如來密因脩證了義諸菩薩萬行首楞嚴經》，是一部對中國彿教之禪、淨、律、密、教都有著廣汎而深刻影響的大乘彿教經典。內容十分宏富，思想體係嚴密，幾乎把大乘彿教所有重要理論都囊括其中，故自問世後，就廣汎流行。該經以理、行、果為框架，謂一切眾生都有“菩提妙明元心”，但因不明自心清淨，故流轉生死，如能脩禪證道，即可成就無上正等正覺。這一思想對中國彿教的各宗各派都產生了极其深刻的影響。受到歷代鴻生碩儒的喜愛，是一部通俗易懂、富有感染力的經典著作。
