IMPROVED REGISTRATION WITH PARENT CONSENT: To protect the privacy of our child users, we have added a few extra steps for parent consent in user registration process.

MORE WAYS TO GIVE: Now you can use your Power Coins OR keys to help local communities in the Kid Power Exchange.

UPDATES TO POWER POINTS: We’re getting ready to launch an exciting new feature later this summer and to help us get ready, we’ve made two big changes:
1) Power Points = Power Coins: Everything works the same, just a tantalizing new name.
2) Earning Adjustments: We made an adjustment to how quickly you earn Power Coins when using Health Kit and Google Fit to track your activity. Users with bands will be totally unaffected.

MAPS AND BADGES: To celebrate getting active this summer, we are adding more map scenes and badges for you to unlock even more RUTF!

We fixed that annoying bug where the app was logging you out often.

VISUAL CHANGES: We re-arranged our Mission screen layout for even better access to your achievements and accomplishments, and better navigation between the Missions.

SCHOOL PROGRAM FIXES: For some teachers, it took awhile to sync classroom bands. While we are working on further improvements, the sync process got a bit faster so you can spend more time getting active to save more lives!

DAILY CHALLENGES: For our home users, you can now complete daily challenges to earn extra Power Points and RUTF with your daily activity!

ROSTERING FOR SCHOOLS: Now you can build and manage your classroom roster in the app! If you haven’t rostered your students yet, log in and it’ll happen just after a short tutorial. If you’ve already added some students, but want to add more, you can do it in the profile view.

UPDATES WITHOUT APP UPDATES: With this update, you’ll get all the latest new content: new missions, extra rewards, videos, and content improvements with every sync.

SCHOOL MISSION MIXUPS: Fixed an issue where some classrooms were being put into the wrong mission and getting stuck. From now on, teachers should be where they’re supposed to be!

UPDATING YOUR BAND: Fixed the issue where total Power Points weren’t being updated in the Kid Power Bands. Now they are. Long tap on your daily power point display to check it out.

FIXED SYNCING ERRORS FOR SCHOOLS: We saw some weird errors with our classroom users, so we went ahead and fixed that.

MINOR FIXES: We’re always fixing little issues and this release is no different. You probably won’t notice them, but they’re there!

We've added analytics and push notification tools for classroom sync - so we can better communicate with educators using the app.

TEAMS FIXES: We cleaned up some weird data and did some other polish bits for all our classrooms and teams.

iOS12 SUPPORT: The new apple iOS12 software update caused some layout problems. They’re fixed now.

PUSH NOTIFICATIONS: We’ve added analytics tools and push notification support to help us make the app even better. We promise we won’t spam you!

PUBLIC CHEERS: It has been so fun cheering on our friends that we opened up the feature to cheer anyone you see. Just tap "Cheer" next to anyone on the leaderboard and send them an anonymous thumbs up!
When you receive cheers, the big bubbles are cheers from your friends, and small bubbles are from your secret admirers.

PRIVATE TEAMS: We have added support for our #1 requested feature, private teams! We'll be slowly rolling this out so check back soon for more details.

HAPTICS: By popular demand, we have replaced that annoying vibration when you apply your steps with more gentle haptic taps on newer phones. Your thumbs will be so happy!

BUG FIXES AND UI IMPROVEMENTS: We repaired some annoying crashes on iPhone 5, iPod and iPads that run on 9.3+ or 10.3.3 iOS version, fixed some layout issues on the leaderboards and other small doodads here and there.

SUPPORTING NEW BANDS - in this release we are adding a firmware updater for the new UNICEF Kid Power Bands 2.0 that are coming later this summer! With this feature, we’ll make sure you’re always up-to-date with new exciting changes that we release for the Kid Power bands.

OLD APP USERS - as you might have learned from our emails, we no longer support Old UNICEF Kid Power app that so many of you used to Get Active to Save Lives. MAJOR BUGS FIXED
- Syncing your band will reset the time on your Kid Power Bands. Phew! This was a big one. Sorry everyone!
- Using full band ID at linking - you won't notice but we wanted to make sure there are no duplicate band IDs out there.
- Fixed some stuff with locked waypoints so now it works like it's supposed to and doesn't, for example, skip you ahead of the lock, but trap you there.
