“Sips of Science”- UT Dallas “science café” program, featuring faculty and student researchers discussing their work in layman terms at local eateries. The program promotes public engagement with science by bringing it off campus.
The fall meeting for the Texas Branch American Society for Microbiology (November 10-12, 2016) will be hosted at UT Dallas. The three-day meeting covers the research and education interests of microbiologists with presentations from industry professionals, undergraduate and graduate students, and a poster session. Attendees can present new data and learn from experts in the field. Saturday sessions focus on careers in microbiology and activities that enhance teaching and learning.
