About Velocate GPS

Using the velocate app, you can operate all products of the velocate series (vc|one and vc|universal as well as vc|mini) intuitively and conveniently.

The device can be activated directly via the app or the Velocate website.
If velocate is activated, you will be informed immediately by an alarm on the smartphone when the tracker is moved. You can then track the position of your bike/vehicle live in real time and take countermeasures.

For vc|one
If the thief brings the bike into a cellar where there is no GPS reception - no problem. The integrated localisation module makes it possible to find the bike (e.g. in a cellar) within a radius of up to 50m. As soon as your mobile phone reaches the radius of velocate localization, you can also start an acoustic and visual alarm to make locating even easier and at the same time provide proof of your ownership).

vc|universal

Our newly developed and fully certified system for safe vehicle location. Specially developed for the requirements of the camping/caravaning sector, the Universal with its long standby time of several months is also perfect for vintage cars, boats (*special version). What's New in the Latest Version 1.9.6

Last updated on Nov 10, 2020
Old Versions
Our developers have worked hard over the past months to make the velocate platform even simpler and more powerful. The result of this work are updates for all our current products.

#new in 1.9.5. vc|vinder push notifications

# New remote

The most important thing of this update series is that we made bluetooth completely optional. This means that all devices can be remote controlled directly via the app. It doesn't matter if you are connected via Bluetooth or not. From now on every aspect of a tracker can be controlled via my.velocate.com or our app. The changes are transferred automatically as soon as your device moves or it automatically connects to our server every 12 hours. If the device is currently recording positions or is online for some other reason, the settings are even transmitted immediately.

Bluetooth will continue to play a role in vc|one proximity localization in the future.

# New operating modes

The increasing number of users in our system has taught us that our users have a wide variety of usecases for their devices. For this reason we have added 2 new modes to our **vc|one** and **vc|universal,** in addition to the current "alarm mode".

With our new firmware updates you can even switch between these modes while tracking.

Permanent Tracking Mode
One of these modes is the "Continuous Tracking Mode". This will record all movements of a tracker without triggering an alarm. This is a very powerful feature, especially in connection with our Geofences, which can be used to check in real time if a certain area is left.

Power Saving Mode
Parallel to the continuous tracking mode there is the new "energy saving mode" in which all trackers have the lowest power consumption. In this mode the tracker will only transmit its last position to our servers after a 2 minute stand still period. This has the advantage that you always know where the device has been parked without consuming a lot of power. We recommend this mode to anyone who doesn't need real-time tracking because it maximizes battery life.

# vc|one

The **vc|one** got a lot of love with this update. The new firmware finally works with our newly developed communication protocol, which uses less power although it is more communicative than before. This way we guarantee that all your settings will be played reliably on your device even from a distance. In addition, we've added the ability to request positions from the device. Completely free of charge. (The return of the position can take up to 12 hours.)

# vc|universal

After this update, vc|universal, like vc|one, will be able to benefit from the new continuous tracking mode and overwrite all existing settings completely without Bluetooth.

# vc|mini

We have extended the control of the vc|mini by adding a new alarm mode that can be used with all operating modes. So the user can choose in which mode an alarm should be triggered. This allows you to set whether the tracker should save power or record more positions.

# Portal

Our portal has received a fresh coat of paint and is now even more powerful than before.

We've paid special attention to putting the tracker's positions in the foreground and making the settings clearer and easier to define.

The platform can be found at: https://my.velocate.com

# Updates

To take advantage of these new features, the velocate app needs to be updated and the tracker's alarm mode needs to be deactivated in order to install the new firmware updates.

The current firmware versions are as follows:

- vc|one: 11.2.77
- vc|universal: 12.2.77
