This release introduces an optimised form of your virtual insurance card in the app, which is available at all times. Whether at the doctor’s, in hospital or at a pharmacy, you can use your smartphone to easily send administrative data such as your insurance number. To do so, you need only scan a QR code or show the barcode displayed and within just seconds, the data will appear on the service provider’s screen. It is already possible to send data electronically via the app at around 5,000 service providers across Switzerland, with new providers being added all the time.
