"يوميات دير العاقول" هي مخطوطة عثر عليها أحدهم في مكتبة مهجورة في زاوية من مسجد قديم في المنطقة التي تحمل الاسم نفسه , و التي لقي فيها الشاعر أبو الطيب المتنبي مصرعه .
بدت المخطوطة قديمة بالية و مجهولة النسب, و لعل من عثر عليها تبين له بعد جهد, أنها نسخة دقيقة نقلت قبل قرن من الزمان عن أصل دونه المتنبي .
