About AcroBox

Are you an aspiring aerobatic competition pilot? Or perhaps you're interested in doing IAC-style aerobatics just for fun? Either way, a key part of flying this style of aerobatics is "staying in the box", which has been difficult to judge from the air ... until now.

AcroBox lets you define the boundaries of a virtual aerobatic box compliant with the International Aerobatic Club's specifications and FAA regulations. Use the VFR and IFR charts to ensure that the box doesn't encroach on federal airways or airport surface areas, then use the aerial map to visually identify box boundaries. If you're setting up a box for a club or competition event, the "marker" mode shows exactly where the box markers should be placed.

If you have multiple devices, AcroBox lets you easily share box locations between them using iCloud. You can also share box details with other pilots via e-mail, and they will receive not only the coordinates of your aerobatic box but also a map image and a link to open the box in AcroBox or another popular flight planning app!

Sometimes it's handy to have the box description clipped to your panel next to your routine, so AcroBox can now print box details on any AirPrint-compatible printer. This awesome feature makes it possible to have something to tack up at a contest, club event, or on the airport bulletin board for those who don't haven't yet downloaded AcroBox! Moreover, each printout includes a small QR code which contains the box details allowing other pilots or contest participants to get all the aerobatic box details they need with the built-in QR scanner.

Especially at a contest or club play day, there's more than just the box - there's the judges line. No more guessing about where it should be - it's shown right on the map next to the box which makes finding the perfect location for the tents, tables, and chairs a snap!

Exporting to all versions of ForeFlight now works more reliably, and configuring aerobatic boxes not aligned on a cardinal compass heading is now easier via the two-finger rotate gesture!

There are several other minor usability improvements as well, and as always keep the feedback coming!
