CHECKMARK WIDGET
There’s a brand new widget available in Notification Center that will show you any tasks that are due today. Swipe down from the top of your screen from anywhere and see what’s on your plate today.
To turn it on, just head to Notification Center, and head to Today, then scroll down to the bottom and tap Edit. Tap on the “+” sign beside Checkmark 2, then drag/reorder its position wherever you like it.
INTERACTIVE NOTIFICATIONS
You can now interact with a Checkmark reminder directly from the lock screen. Swipe from right-to-left to bring up the option to mark a reminder as complete. You can also mark reminders as complete when they roll down while you’re using another app, similar to how you can reply to a new iMessage when it appears.
OPTIMIZED FOR iPHONE 6 and 6 PLUS
We’ve optimized the Checkmark interface to look great on your shiny new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus. Works great on older devices as well!

SNOOZING IS HERE!
You can now set a snooze for When or Where reminders on a per-task basis for either 1 minute or 1 hour. The snooze function will now continually remind you of an overdue reminder until its marked as complete (either every minute or every hour).
You can also setup a “Default Snooze” in the Settings to automatically apply a snooze to all reminders you create.
*Due to a system limitation we can’t allow for other snoozing time intervals
RECURRING REMINDERS ARE BETTER!
We’ve made some changes to Recurring time-based reminders.
You now have to check-off each recurring reminder after it goes off in order for it to reset for the next scheduled occurrence. Overdue Recurring reminders now badge the app icon, making sure you never miss a recurring reminder again!
TAPPABLE ACTIONS IN NOTES
You can now add tappable links inside the notes field, for things like a phone number, website URL, or email address. Tap and hold for about 0.5 seconds on a link to perform an action – like making a phone call or sending a new email.
SOME NEW SMALLER THINGS:
- Checkmark 2 now supports users that are using a 24-hour clock
- Added a subtle count of items for each list in the main Lists view
- Improvements to date-specific location-based reminders (now indicates selected date below task)
- Improvements to the “Add from map” zooming
- Location icons are now badged correctly after they’ve gone off

First off – thanks for all the support <3
Second, this is a small update to Checkmark 2. We’ve added a couple minor features, and we’ve fixed a bunch of crashes and bugs. We’ve made a few optimizations as well. Here’s what’s new:
PICK THE LAUNCH VIEW
You can now choose the launch view that Checkmark 2 will open to. You can choose between When, Where, Lists, or Last Used. Just visit the Settings to select an option.
LAUNCH CENTER PRO INTEGRATION (URL support)
We’ve added some basic URL support into this build. In the future we’ll look at adding more complex actions (send ideas to feedback@builtbysnowman.com).
