USB STORAGE AND EXTERNAL FOLDERS
USB drives, pendrives, USB sticks, HDDs, etc. can be used inside DJ Player. This functionality offers a complete feature set including:
- Track listing to any depth (folders) with artworks and metadata displayed.
- Track search (recursive to any depth).
- Create, rename or delete folders.
- Copy and delete files.
- Tracks can also be copied from the Apple Music Library to the USB drive.
- USB storage access requires iOS/iPadOS 13 or newer.

INSTANT DOUBLES - A long waited feature!
- Drag the artwork of a deck onto another deck to immediately load the same track at the same position with the same playback state.
- Including the same looping state! Yes, the current loop is also cloned.

OTHER IMPROVEMENTS
- Track Browser Opens Full Screen Only setting: fixed bug. If enabled, track browser will only appear in full screen.
- All custom playlists can be deleted now, not just empty ones.

Waveform

Mixer
- Enabling pre-listening on a channel will re-route effects to pre-fader on that specific channel only, other channels will not be affected.
- Pre-listening to a post-fader or post-crossfader fx: close the channel fader or the crossfader.

Other
- Play button icon changes for reverse playback direction.
- Items in the history are selectable for playlist creation.
- Improved time-stretching audio quality for the extreme slow-down range (-20% to -50%).
- Reduced GPU load for longer battery life.

IMPROVED UI

- Significantly reduced usage of SHIFT for all kinds of functionality.
- Direct (no SHIFT) access to the points/loops pane and Fx screen.

- Pitch bend: swipe on the waveform while the music is playing.
- Classic plus/minus pitch bend: tap on the waveform while the music is playing (slower the upper or left side, faster on the lower or right side).
- Waveform move: drag the waveform while the music is paused, or hold SHIFT and drag the waveform while the music is playing.

- Zoom: pinch with two fingers on the track overview waveform (the smaller waveform).
- Jump Forward: double-tap on the right side of the track overview waveform (the smaller waveform).
- Jump Backward: double-tap on the left side of the track overview waveform (the smaller waveform).
- SHIFT + track overview waveform (the smaller waveform) is strip search.

- Grid edit and less frequently used controls are now organized into one pane. Open this pane with the pencil icon (visible with SHIFT).
- Rearranged mixer controls on "modern" interface to prevent crossing of fingers while adjusting the eq.

- Long press on SYNC changes the master deck to the current player.
- SHIFT + SYNC changes playback direction (forward/reverse). Short tap to change permanently, long tap to change temporarily (until the tap ends).
- Automatically re-sync/quantize when returning from reverse direction to forward (depending on the SYNC state).

- Stored loop lengths are displayed (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 beats).


OTHER CHANGES

- "Sort By: Default" in the iOS Music Library "Songs" listing is now sorted by date added, providing a full history of the library.
- "Enabling Pre-listening Moves FX Pre Fader and Crossfader" setting. When any of the pre-listening buttons are enabled, post-fader effects become pre-fader temporarily. Useful for pre-listening to post-fader effects.


FIXES

- Fixed: read key from the comment field (Mixed In Key).
- Fixed: tracks didn't automatically disappear from the queue.

MAJOR TRACK BROWSER ENHANCEMENT
-------------------------------

1. Organize your playlists faster and comfortably: create and edit playlists in DJ Player EM.

The playlists created inside DJ Player EM are marked with the DJ Player logo. Changing the order of tracks is possible in the "Default" (1,2,3) order.

These playlists are not immediately visible in the Apple Music app or iTunes, because third-party apps have no full playlist management access. But if you feel that a playlist is "complete", you can export a playlist to Apple Music/iTunes: open the playlist, tap on the three dots and choose "Export".


2. Classic "folders and files" track management in "Documents, Recordings".

Create and manage folders, copy/delete files inside DJ Player EM. Can import tracks from the iOS Music Library, Dropbox and WebDAV too.

On iOS 11, the "Documents, Recordings" is also fully accessible and managable in the built-in Files app, identically to a disk or pendrive on your computer.


3. Remembering what you've played even months before? Yes, with the improved History.

A new history list is created if there was no music played for 60 minutes. A history list is stored forever until you manually delete it.

History is available as a separate music source now. You can find it where you select between iOS Music Library, Dropbox, etc.


4. The management features are available after enabling the "edit" mode (tap on the pencil icon).

Use the dual track browser to copy files. The design is similar to Norton Commander (remember that?), which efficiently prevents accidental modifications (no drag&drop).


MINOR TWEAKS
------------

1. FX Position Setting

The Pre and Post-Fader mixer setting is now extended to 3 options:
- Pre Fader and Crossfader
- Post Fader, Pre Crossfader
- Post Fader and Crossfader


2. Long touch on the statusbar (top bar with the clock, etc.) shows/hides the track browser.

3. Search works in "Documents, Recordings".

- Smart and Genius playlists are marked.
- New "Sync Mode On Load" setting: "Leave As It Is".
- New setting: "Keep Auto-Loop When Using Hot Cue Without Loop".
- Fixed: echo beats display changing from 2 beats to 1 beat.

- Search in the iOS Music Library is now performed on comments, album artist, genre, grouping and composer as well.
- If the same track is loaded on multiple players simultaneously, changes in cue points/loops are copied immediately.
- Loop exit functionality removed from the CUE button.
- Current key is updated when key lock is off and tempo is changed.
- Arrive 1 beat before perfect beat-jump is fixed.
- Fixed syncing for loops not starting on the beatgrid.
- Fixed audio artifact when keylock switches on/off (pitch bend, etc.).
- Moving tracks in the queue is fixed (grab and move with the artwork).
- MP4 video support (audio will be played).

Track selection is not the most hyped, buf most important skill of a DJ. This update focuses on track selection.

IMPROVED TRACK BROWSER
What's better than a track browser? Two track browsers on the same screen! You can browse in a more creative way.

RECOMMENDATIONS (TRACK MATCH)
DJ Player is now able to recommend your next track to mix based on key and bpm.

- Recommended compatible track properties are highlighted with different colors.
- Compatible bpm is highlighted with green color.
- Compatible key is highlighted with green, power boost mixing key is highlighted with blue color.
- Sorting by Best Match shows a continuously updated list of recommended tracks from the currently visible tracklist.

TRACK PREVIEW
- Long press on a track in the track browser enables instant track preview. Move left or right to seek in the song.
- Plays in the pre-listening signal with all pre-listening properties (volume, mix) applied.
- Audible when only the speaker or headphone is available (no USB).
- Track preview mutes the pre-listening signal by default, as previewing a track with other audio playing over the headphones is chaotic.
- "Preview Mutes Pre-listening" mixer setting to enable/disable the track preview mute behavior.

OTHER TRACK BROWSER IMPROVEMENTS
- "Newest 100" displays the last 100 track additions to the music library (requires iOS 10).
- Ratings (stars) are displayed for iOS Music Library tracks.
- Key and bpm data recognized from iTunes comment field, ID3 tag comment field, front of filename, front of artist and front of title. Bpm and key from Mixed in Key for example.
- Batch analyzing is almost 2x faster.
- Options for batch analyzing: overwrite or keep existing bpm, key and grid data. Process all or just tracks not yet analyzed.

IMPROVED SYNC
- Sync is tighter than ever. Jumping (with our without loops) is stable regardless of direction.
- Quantize player setting (1, 2 or 4 beats).
- A loop on the master deck "overrides" the quantize setting to the length of the loop on the master deck.

USER INTERFACE IMPROVEMENTS
- Reduced number of colors and color-grouped controls for easier navigation and better focus on music/waveform.
- Jump control changed from knob to button: short press jumps, longer press changes jump direction.

- Plus/minus buttons can be used in Jump Preview Mode for precise adjustment.
- New setting: invert the position of the plus and minus buttons.
- Gradient loop overlay on the waveform in loop adjustment mode (in/out).
- STEM on/off state reflected on each STEM volume knob.

- Gapless seeking and jumping (including hot cues and loops) for beat synced tracks.
