In this update we've made it easier to find interesting lessons and to keep track of your study progress.
Here are some of the things we've changed:
- Recommended lessons
In the new Home tab you will find recommended suitable lessons for you, that make it quicker to get right into studying.
The recommendations are based on what you have recently marked studied, so the more you study the better the recommendations.
- Study track
Instead of getting recommended lessons, you can also pick a study track to follow along a course of curated lessons.
- Study goal
Having a clear goal can help you keep up with your studies. You can now set a weekly study goal, and Du Chinese will help you keep track of your progress.
You can set your goal under Settings > Study goals.
- Daily word goal
The word reviews can quickly become overwhelming if you have a lot of saved words.
To avoid this, you can now set a daily “Study goal” to limit the amount of words that you are tested on in each set of reviews.
- Cram mode
Having trouble remembering some words? Cram mode lets you repeat these words until you remember them.

This update adds better support for HSK, following the request of many of our users.
In the reading screen, HSK words are now underlined in color to indicate their HSK level. Tapping a word brings up the dictionary, and the HSK level is shown in the top right corner.
(Note that some of our older lessons do not have HSK information)
