EdinBus

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.

EdinBus has been updated for iOS 11.

- Fixed many layout issues
- Loading times from the map is now easier - just tap the callout

- Fixes an issue where saved stops were not being shown on the map.

Note: This is the last version of EdinBus that will support iOS 5.

- Added back the QR code scanner.

This is a bug fix release. Sorry for the recent issues!

- Fixed Service Information. Now shows updates from Twitter only. New Service Information coming soon.
- Fixed Search - can now search for street names again.
- Map performance improvements. To load times straight from the map, press the blue button on the left instead of the one on the right!
- Removed QR code scanning. Reduces the size of the app by over 50%.
- Diagnostics and Contact support now built into the app. If you're having problems, this should tell you what's wrong.
- Updated fares - fares now should remain up to date in the Help.
- Other bug fixes and stability improvements.

This update fixes recent problems with the stop database, as well as other minor bug fixes.

EdinBus has been redesigned from the ground up; easier to use, looks great!

- Stop times now always auto-refresh
- Disruption information straight from BusTracker in the app

This version fixes a bug for users with their time format set to 12 hour. Apologies for the inconvenience.

This version now uses the new BusTracker web service, providing faster and more accurate times. You must upgrade to keep using EdinBus.

This is the last version of EdinBus that will support iPhone OS 3.

New Features

- Scan Bus Stop Codes - appears in the Quick Stop Tab (only on iPhone 3GS and higher/iOS 4 and higher)
- Improved Location Search
- Can cancel stop loading if you select the wrong stop

You must update to this version to keep using EdinBus, due to mybustracker server changes.

- Fix for walking directions on devices with multitasking.

- Fixed an issue where EdinBus would fail to refresh stop times on iPhone on Three, due to their network configuration.
- Cosmetic and other stability fixes.

Note that the performance of the mybustracker service should be much better - the council has upgraded their servers as of the 16th of February.

Fixes a problem where EdinBus was crashing on launch on iOS 3.1 devices and on iPad. Thanks to the testers who helped me fix this issue, and apologies for the inconvenience.

*** 3.1.3 iPHONE/iPAD USERS - do not download this update, as it crashes on launch. Please wait for a new update coming as soon as Apple approves it. Sincere apologies for the inconvenience. ***

- Fixed a bug with Find Stops map after multitasking switches.
- Added back the Arrival Sound preference - look in the Settings app to choose whether to play a sound for DUE buses.

The problem with location searching has been fixed.

Thanks to Edinburgh City Council, EdinBus now has additional data on stops. Stop directions are now shown on the map, and stop names are now full length.

All Lothian Buses are now low-floor, so the Accessibility icon has been removed from the stop display.

EdinBus also supports iOS 4 and has new Retina Display graphics for iPhone 4. Madder and white is back!

Stop refreshing does not work in the background in this version, due to limitations of iOS 4 multitasking.

*** NOTE: there is a known bug with this version; location searching is not working. A fix is with Apple and will be released as soon as possible.

Find Stops: Use the new Find Stops tab to find nearby stops, search for streets or areas in Edinburgh, or find stops near your contacts from your Address Book.

Walking Directions: A new icon in the Stop view takes you to the Maps application, giving you walking directions from your current location.

In addition, EdinBus is now faster and friendlier. Thanks for using EdinBus!
