About European Cultural Centre of Delphi
Download the application and enjoy a virtual tour of two unique sites where nature, art and human activity coexist in harmony: the conference venue of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi and the Museum of Delphic Festivals.
Panoramic views of the venues, images and detailed information are available.
The European Cultural Centre of Delphi's conference venue, a typical architectural example of the Modern Movement in Greece, is spread over an area of 100 acres of lush gardens and pine groves. It is composed of three elegant autonomous buildings: the Conference Centre, the Guest House and the "Frynihos" open-air Τheatre. The venue operates throughout the year and hosts conferences, seminars and workshops, as well as, international cultural and artistic events, fine arts exhibitions, music and theatre festivals. All buildings offer a splendid view to the magnificent Delphic landscape.
In the gardens and pine groves of the premises a Sculpture Park has been created, featuring works of art by renowned contemporary artists such as George Zongolopoulos, Ioannis Parmakelis, Takis, Theodoros Papadimitriou, Aristide Patsoglou, Costas Tsoclis, Stephen Antonakos, Lydia Venieri, Michel Gerard, Alfredo Romano, Theodoulos Gregoriou, Patrick Raynaud, Patrizia Molinari, Jason Molfesis, Masaaki Noda and Costas Varotsos.
Housed in the former residence of Eva and Angelos Sikelianos, the Museum of Delphic Festivals displays a noteworthy collection on the festivals organised in 1927 and 1930. The building is situated nearby the archaeological site of Delphi overlooking the olive grove of Amfissa and the sea. The collection is a permanent loan of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi to the Municipality of Delphi.
