About IO Classroom
IO Classroom mobile is the flagship app for teachers and education professionals. It's part of the IO Classroom platform (formerly known as Skedula). It includes the features most used by teachers in the classroom. This version includes:
- Class list with student count and course identifiers
- Dynamic, real-time student search
- Imported student pictures to make finding a student easier
- Seating Chart (including editing of seating chart and the ability to switch between seated and alphabetical views)
- Ability to take class attendance (including setting bulk attendance)
- Assignment lists
- Traditional (single assignment) grading (including bulk grading, additional points, valid grades and grading icons)
- Gradebook grading
- Student Portfolio View (including student schedule, contacts, anecdotal and daily attendance) without leaving the grading or attendance page
- Display of student schedules for all or any particular day
- Capability to call parents and guardians directly from Student Portfolio
- Ability to post and view anecdotal logs
- School list allowing teachers to switch schools
- Communication via IO Classroom/PupilPath Mail

• Modified the Assignments list view so that we can support the ability to edit an assignment for an individual course on mobile.
• Added an option that allows the user to stay logged into the app even after they close the app so they do not have to login every time they open the application.
• Added mobile anecdotal entry features so the mobile functionality will be more inline with features available on the web.
• Added the ability to access a student's courses from their student profile.
• Merged the PupilPath views of assignments, attendance, and course averages into the student profile of the Classroom mobile app.

This release consists, mostly, of bug fixes. However we did get some feedback regarding the size of the grading, attendance and grade book views. You were right, they were full screen in version 1 and we foolishly made them small. Well, we heard you (especially you, Jeff Lazarus) and made them big again.

In Version 2.0.0 we've re-written the backend completely and brought the experience more in line with our other mobile products. This version also adds the Mail functionality that you have on the website. Now you can send messages to your colleagues, students and their guardians right from the app. We've also added the ability to provide us feedback. We are always open to suggestions and looking for feedback and this is a great way to let us know if you like the app and what features you'd love to see us add. We're listening, we promise!

We realized that having to start all over was a big inconvenience and that 5 minutes was too short of a time frame when using TouchID. We're sorry about that! We made it so that you don't have to start all over and the time frame is much longer now.

In 1.2.1 we fixed an issue that caused the app to crash if you had a course with no students in it. Sorry about that and thanks for your patience!
