L'Egitto di Belzoni - Un gigante nella terra delle piramidi
Explorer, engineer, pioneer of modern archaeology, father of world Egyptology, he inspired George Lucas in the creation of Indiana Jones. The Paduan Giovanni Battista Belzoni was the most important and least remembered explorer of the nineteenth century, the protagonist of an extraordinary and adventurous life little known in Italy.
Born and lived in Portello, the ancient and popular heart of Padua, Giovanni Battista Belzoni dreamed of becoming a hydraulic engineer, but history had other plans for him. Nature gave him an enormous stature, over 2 meters high, and a herculean force for which he was known as "The Great Belzoni".
Above all, he had intelligence, courage, an extraordinary intuition and a disinterested love for archaeology, all qualities that he was able to put to good use in an immediately adventurous life between Rome, Paris and London, until he arrived in the country that would later make him famous.
This App is the natural compendium of the exhibition itinerary that shows and pays homage to an adventurous life full of exploits.
The App allows you to access (access is partial for the "preview" mode *) to:
- images of environments, works, characters and historical documents
- storytelling
- audio guide
- tutorial on the use of the guide's functions
- “share social” function (to share the elements of interest on your favorite social)
- “notebook” function to collect your favorite items, annotated and published on your social.
- technical information: timetables, prices, addresses, contacts
*The preview mode of the App allows access to some of the information and features: once at the museum if you purchased your visit card with the guide downloaded you can activate this same App for the full visit.
During the visit it will be possible to collect the elements of the visit proposed in the App in your own notebook, with the possibility to add and edit your own comments and share everything on social channel.
