We’ve added a lot of improvements to lesson exercises, fixed issues with picture exercises and improved AI Chat in this version.
- Enhanced hints for Write Exercises. Tap the Check button to show which letters are in the right positions and remove those which are not.
- Fixed several picture exercises which had no correct answer or were displaying the wrong picture set.
- Added speaker icon to exercise screens to tap for pronunciation. Now you can hear it when you want instead of it playing automatically.
- Enhanced difficulty levels for Word Order Exercise. Beginners see capitalization and punctuation which makes it easy to order the words. An extra word is included for advanced users making it harder to complete the exercise.
- Implemented Help menu options to Say Exercise that pronounce phrase slower or faster and open User Guide.
- Fixed bugs in Write Exercises that displayed blank placeholders incorrectly, for words to spell.

In this version we focus on add Difficulty levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced), and making the exercise more intuitive.
- Word Order Exercise Improvements. When you tap the Check button, words in the correct position will be displayed in green, words in the wrong position in red. Once you've seen these clues, all the words to the right of the first wrong word will dissappear, so you can focus on guessing the next right word.
- Write Exercise Improvements. If you spell a word incorrectly, the letters in the wrong order will appear in red and will be removed from view.
- Say Exercise improvement. Lingidy will now check if you have given permission to use your device’s microphone and to enable speech recognition, which are necessary to complete this exercise. If not, you will be prompted to turn on these Permissions in in iOS Settings.
- Difficulty Levels. Go to Settings and choose Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. If you choose Beginner, then Word Order Exercise and Write Exercise will only show the words and letters in the correct answer. If you choose Intermediate, then an extra word or letter, not found in the correct result will appear in the list. If you choose Advanced, two letters will appear and the first word in the phrase will not be capitalized.
- Removed the dancing Panda animation which was a throw back from earlier versions but we plan to replace it with a dancing Dolphin that will rock your world.
- Added Dolphin chatter on startup. You can adjust the frequency or eliminate it all together in Settings.
- Fixed bugs causing crashes for some users when tapping on More > Settings or Phrases > Exercises (blue circle with arrow icon).

- Enhanced the AI Chat Tutor with translations and pronunciations. Tap on Chat in the tab bar and try asking our AI Tutor to be a celebrity like Shakira or Leonardo da Vinci or Michael Schumacher and teach you languages like Spanish, Italian or German. We were the first to integrate Chat GPT, even before the owl guys), to provide this amazing feature and it’s only gonna get better.
- Changed the Say exercise to use iOS record button and animation to increase familiarity for Apple users, and everybody else.
- Added context friendly settings on the Lesson Phrases screen. Tap the dolphin to hide/show speaker icons, or make text Bigger/Smaller.
- Fixed a big problem with users with iOS Dark Mode not displaying Lesson names properly.
- Beautiful new pastel theme in Settings > Display Lessons > List.
- Added dolphin chatter to the startup screen. You might think this is trivial and you might be right, but what can be more motivating than dolphin chatter when you start your daily language journey. And to make sure it doesn’t get annoying, go to Settings > Play Dolphin chatter on startup and select the frequency.

- Lingidy is the first major language app to release an virtual chat tutor using ChatGPT, the most advanced AI in the industry. Simply tap no the Chat bubble in the tab bar and respond in the language you are trying to learn. Lingidy will respond in the same language you used.
