L.I.N.S.

The purpose of the LINS app is to give civilians the ability to rate their interactions with police officers. This was done in effort to reduce the instances of police brutality and other human and social right violations, as well as, prevent police officers from being able to move throughout the country and continuing to work in law enforcement after committing egregious actions. The LINS app will also highlight police officers that are performing their duties to a high standard and recognize them for a job well done. Civilians will be able to electronically document and rate their encounter with the police officer, submit the experience and share with their community. The app is designed with location settings to show the exact location the individual is reporting from. The app comes with the ability to also upload pictures and videos of police interactions and all submissions will be reviewed for validity. Once the LINS consultants review the reports, instances of abuse or flagrant violation of rights will be pulled. LINS will contact the police precinct and notify them of the complaint. If the complaint is not handled timely, the information can then be sent to the states Mayors office and the office of other elected officials for review. This data will remain in our system and could potentially be stored in a national database. The LINS app can promote a system of checks and balances by enforcing accountability of local, state and government policing agencies that service the community they swore to protect.
