About Mentor Family by eDriving℠
Mentor for Families is the safe driving app that measures driving skills and provides personalized insights and coaching to help you improve. Stream bite-sized learning modules, track your driving score and compare with family and friends to see who’s the best driver in town!
Mentor provides a safe driving score, developed by FICO®, after each trip and each week. Easy-to-read dashboards measure individual skills such as: speed, braking, phone use and acceleration. Identify and improve specific areas with short coaching videos and tips chosen especially for you. You can also have a bit of fun thru healthy competition; see how you stack up against drivers in your town and nationwide! Parents are provided an optional recap of progress with custom email updates.
Mentor is good for the whole family:
• For New Drivers: Mentor supports you during the most vulnerable years on the road. Did you know that the first two years, post-license, are statistically the most dangerous years a driver faces in their life? With Mentor, you can proactively reduce the risk thru the ongoing coaching support provided.
• For Teens: Mentor allows new drivers to enjoy the freedom of driving, while getting the coaching needed to build driving habits. Watch skills grow and FICO® safe driving score improve over time. Mentor can help prove that you’ve earned driving privileges and are a safe and confident driver.

This release brings several UI enhancements :
* Introducing new labels for Driver Risk: Great, Good, Average, Poor, and Risky will be replaced with new labels - Very Low Risk, Low Risk, Medium Risk, High Risk, and Very High Risk.
* Trip scores will be replaced by color coded star ratings.
* Tapping Dashboard Ribbon icons will show feedback specific to that category on how to improve the risk level.
* Dashboard Ribbon icons will be color coded green/yellow/red to indicate risk level.

This release includes new “Circles” features designed to promote friendly competition and engagement among co-workers, friends and family members joined together in designated groups. Circle members can now cheer, tease, and acknowledge each other’s progress or regression using “Clap”, “Tease” and “Poke” actions. The new Circles Activity tab will display actions shared with a user over the past 7 days. Users can personalize their Circles by uploading a profile picture in the More section.

Thank you for using Mentor! This release includes new design and enhanced user experience features, troubleshooting help for drivers, scoring optimizations, new batch edit feature, and performance enhancements.
Enhanced Design - We’ve sharpened the design of key screens to improve readability and usability. These include the Dashboard, Trips, Trips Detail, and More pages. On the Playlist page, you will now see that the second tab is titled “Completed” (vs. “Retake”) to more clearly delineate those modules that have already been viewed from those assigned but not yet watched.
Troubleshooting– When you select a Feedback category from the Support section, basic troubleshooting suggestions are now provided to help you before having to submit a request for assistance. We have gathered the answers to the most frequent types of feedback we have been receiving and hope this will help you more quickly. Of course, if you still have a question(s) after reviewing the troubleshooting recommendations, we want to hear from you through the Feedback form. Your feedback helps us to keep making Mentor better!
FICO® Safe Driving Score Optimization – Adjustments to the FICO® score were made to ensure scores accurately reflect positive driving behaviors as well as the risk associated with negative behaviors. Scoring “penalties” for distracted driving were increased to reinforce the significant risk and increasing frequency associated with phone manipulation, including picking up your phone to place or receive a call, text, review social media apps, or check GPS directions while the vehicle is moving.
Batch Edit - This feature allows you to update multiple Trip flags at once. For example, after riding with someone else for several trips over the weekend, you can update all those trips from “Driver” to “Passenger” at the same time. The “Edit” link in the upper right-hand corner of the “Trips” screen will now allow you to select any number of trips and mark them as “Driver”, “Personal” or “Passenger” all at once.
Telematics Platform Upgrade – Improvements in scalability and performance were implemented to ensure Mentor continues to operate as efficiently as possible. These are behind-the-scenes optimizations that you won’t notice directly.

We’re excited to introduce you to our newest feature: Circles, the perfect way to share your FICO® Safe Driving Score with family and friends. If you are the top driver, bragging rights will be easy to claim as everyone in a Circle can see everyone else’s score. You can create your own Circle, find and join existing Circles, or accept an invitation into a Circle someone else has created by entering the invite code you receive from them. Participate in as many Circles as you like!
