You can now use Pathlight to send messages to dispatchers. You can report incidents, provide additional information after sending a request for help, and more. These messages can include a text description and an image from your mobile device. You may also hide your name if you wish to remain anonymous. Your institution must support messaging before it will be enabled on your device.
1.6.1
Jul 1, 2015
A new option in the settings view will allow you to enable signaling for help when your headphones are pulled. Pathlight must be either running an escort or visible on your device to detect the headphone being pulled.
1.6.0
Jun 3, 2015
Added additional security features that can cause the app to continue to actively provide location updates in the event of an overdue or "not moving" condition. This behavior must be enabled by the institution.
The app now displays a warning message and alerts you if you are standing still too long. This is because being still too long may mean that you require assistance. If you need more time before you expect to be moving and do not want to cause a "not moving" alarm you can press the new "Standing still for a moment" button
Added an additional way to signal that help is needed. Pulling the headphones out of your device while running the Pathlight app will (when enabled by the institution) do the same thing as the "Help Me" slider. This behavior must be enabled by the institution before it will function on your device. It is now recommended that you never unplug your headphones when the app is visible or during an escort unless you require immediate assistance.
