prefGrab™

prefGrab™ was designed to be a social app with purpose. We’ve all found ourselves in a situation, for example, where we invited guests to our home and wondered what beverages and food to serve, or needed to buy a present for someone and just didn’t know WHAT…prefGrab™ solves that.

We have taken an idea and developed it into an app that seeks to solve that problem in an engaging way. In the age of social media and the spirit of sharing, prefGrab™ offers that you can “Grab just anything or Grab what we prefer”. While it seems every tech-able person is busy building algorithms to best guess our preferences, prefGrab™ approaches it the old fashioned way by simply asking you.

prefGrab™ allows you to set up a profile for yourself, and then search the profiles of other users. Our profiles share our preferences for anything from a preferred candy, beverage, restaurant, sports team, gift card, gift idea and more. Include a photo or URL. That way the next time you’re invited to someone’s house for dinner, you know what kind of wine they prefer, so you Grab that on the way. The next time your child is invited to a birthday party, you know what to buy for a gift. You can tell us about a restaurant you like, share what you’re reading, watching or a video game you’re playing. Maybe you’re going to stop for coffee on the way to your child’s soccer game and want to Grab a coffee for someone else. Well, you get the idea now.

There is a free version and a paid subscription version. With the free version, users can search for and read other users' preferences with the exception of the “grabBag”. To be able to include preferences for gift ideas and gift cards, you pay for a subscription to access the grabBag. Those who have subscribed for the grabBag, can then view others’ grabBag when given access to view those items. So all users can search and view preferences, but only paid subscribers can use the grabBag and view others’ grabBags when invited. The grabBag gives you access to additional categories like gift ideas, gift cards, a custom category, and allows you to decide who sees what of any of your preferences.
