About RideCheap
RideCheap is a mobile application that allows drivers and passengers to meet companions for ride sharing. The application helps drivers save on fuel by sharing costs with passengers and passengers, in turn, to rich their destinations (for example, ride from home to work or back) comfortably and inexpensively.
Meeting fellow travelers with RideCheap is easy. Here's how it works:
If you are a driver and would like to find fellow travelers for tomorrow morning: add your route to the system and specify the number of available seats and the expected donation for a seat. After that, passengers can find your route (your proposal). If your route suits a passenger, he sends you an offer and you can confirm or reject it. Several people can send you an offer regarding the same ride (and join along the route). In this way, your ride is being formed and available sits taken.
Before starting the ride, fellow travelers may communicate in a local chat, accessible only to participants of this ride. At the departure point, the driver ‘starts’ the ride in the application and the passengers can track the car’s position as it goes along the route, which makes it easier to meet.
Compensation for a ride is arranged directly between the passenger and driver according to their advance agreement.
Drivers, who have a fixed route, may add it to the schedule, so the application could preliminary form a route for a next ride. For another thing, a driver may observe current and preliminary orders placed by passengers and select those suitable to him. If an order suits you – offer passenger a ride.
If you are a passenger looking for a ride: observe a list of routes already registered in the system and choose the one that suits you the most. If a driver confirms your offer, your shared ride is successfully arranged. Once the driver has confirmed your offer, you can communicate with him and other fellow travelers in a local chat. At the departure, a driver ‘starts’ the ride in the application and passengers may track the car’s current position on a map.
After your ride is finished, the driver should receive a compensation as was agreed in advance.
If there are no suitable routes currently available in the system, place your order, specify the convenient time – and the driver will find you.
