About SM Home
For parents/guardians and students, the easy-to-use app allows users to quickly review any broadcast sent from the SchoolMessenger service (Phone/Email/SMS) in one place, manage your communication preferences and, optionally, Chat with teachers** or report absences.** Requires WIFI or data plan for internet access. Requires SchoolMessenger Communicate service subscription by the school or district.

SchoolMessenger Home is used for receiving SchoolMessenger Communicate messages sent by district or school personnel.

Here’s what’s new in v1
Inbox: All broadcasts sent from Communicate to you (Phone/SMS/Email) will also live in the app Inbox giving you one place to easily access all communications regardless of the delivery method. You can search, sort, filter and delete any of these communications
My Profile: This is where you can see your students, manage your communication preferences, Access Help and Delete Your Account
Chat**: Have one on one or class group conversations with teachers
Attendance**: Report your students absent from school or respond to absences not reported to the school

This is a security feature to ensure that any user adding an additional phone number to the app has access to the number they are adding. They can verify access either by phone or by SMS. We have also included a verification step when adding a new email address to the preferences section.

We have also implemented a 60 second delay on re-sending verification codes.

Thank you for using SchoolMessenger Home! In this update, we have fixed some minor bugs and made it easier to login to the app by using biometrics (where available). We have also made it easier to see when the maximum number of phone numbers or emails have been reached (based on school settings), unified the colour scheme for the contacts in the app, and enabled printing and saving of attachments.

In this update, we have fixed some minor bugs and made it easier to stay up to date on the most current version of the app. We have also improved the responsiveness and layout when viewing the app on a tablet device, and given users the option to reload the chat screen (where enabled) by pulling down to refresh the chat conversations.

Thank you for using SchoolMessenger Home! In this update, we have fixed some minor bugs and made changes to the Preferences section. If allowed by your school, you can now add or remove contact information (phone numbers and email addresses) and receive school broadcasts on these new endpoints. It is important to note that this does not change any contact information on file with your school, but rather it is only for use within the app.
