About SSDI Disability by Atticus
Millions of Americans qualify for disability benefits (also called SSDI or SSI) but don't receive them. It's free to apply — but the process is so confusing that many people give up.
SSDI Disability by Atticus gives uses access to free resources to help apply for disability. All users can use the app to send questions about disability to licensed attorneys. Users can edit their Atticus profile from within the app.
We've also created a streamlined tool to start the application process. Here's how it works:
1. It asks up to eight questions — the same ones that an expert would ask you in person.
2. Based on your answers, it gives you an instant analysis of your disability claim and likelihood of success.
3. If you qualify, it offers the chance to talk to a real human on our staff (a disability attorney) who will help you for free. They’ll explain how the process works and evaluate your chances. Then they'll help match you with the right lawyer or advocate to handle your application (or if you prefer, they can instruct you how to apply on your own).
About us: Atticus is a public interest law firm that uses technology to help Americans understand their options and find the right kind of help for their needs. This service, like everything we offer, is free.
In short: you can find out quickly if you qualify for SSDI or SSI, and apply for social security disability benefits the easy way. Social security benefits pay up to $2,788 per month (for SSDI) or $750 per month (for SSI). SSDI comes with free Medicare. SSI comes with free Medicaid.
