About UDOT Traffic
The UDOT Traffic app provides commuters and travelers with mobile access to information for Utah roadways from the Utah Department of Transportation's Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). The available information includes:
1) A zoomable, scrollable map-based display
2) Current traffic conditions on Utah's freeways and major surface streets
3) Accidents, road construction activities, and other hazards
4) Special events that affect traffic (sports events, etc.)
5) Current road weather conditions and road weather forecasts
6) Seasonal road closure status
7) Closed-circuit television (CCTV) traffic camera images
8) Electronic roadway sign messages

1) Additional device notifications can now be received by the UDOT Traffic App. The types of notifications include Amber Alerts, Construction Alerts, Emergency Alerts, Lane Closure Alerts, Road Weather Alerts, Seasonal Road Closure Alerts, and TravelWise Alerts. Users will be able to turn off certain notifications to be sent to their device, the exceptions being Amber alerts and TravelWise alerts. If a user indicates they wish to receive notifications on their device, they will by default be registered to get those two types of alerts, but allowed to opt out of others. User’s configuration of alert notifications will be done by a user in the UDOT Traffic website (My UDOT Traffic Alerts page).
