About VRE Rider

The VRE Rider app will show you the next trains that will arrive at your configured or closest stations, helping you know when you will need to be at there. It provides you with alerts from VRE and Twitter, and current train locations from VRE's online information. The app also let's you browse the train schedules, see where stations are located, and get fare information.

No more fumbling with schedule cards or worrying if that meeting you are stuck in will make you miss the next train home, this is the essential app for anyone who rides the VRE trains.

It is frustrating when you are waiting on the platform, it is cold, it is crowded, and you don't know why your train is late. You aren't seeing any alerts on the VRE web page, or getting emails letting you know why the train is late because your corporate email server is slow at processing messages, or seeing alerts on the "old" VRE app.

Well, I am hoping this update helps. VRE has been providing alerts via an RSS/Twitter feed and this update will show these alerts along with the web alerts on the home screen.
