About Check ID & Driver's License
Check ID scans “PDF417” barcodes most commonly found on the back of driver's licenses and government issued ID cards.
No internet connection is required!
Check ID works without sending your data to any other party.
Privacy is paramount as no data from the scanned barcodes is saved or transmitted to any another computer. No analytics are collected at all.
Check ID will display the following fields from an identification card if available: name, date of birth, age, gender, hair color, eye color, height, weight, expiration date, and address information.
Check ID also includes a "Guest List" feature. Guests can be added to a list ahead of time from the Options screen, or they can be assigned a guest list after scanning their ID. Add guests to lists (e.g. VIP / Banned / etc) to welcome repeat customers.
The “Minimum Age” alert setting is user-configurable. Check ID will warn you when it sees a date of birth above or below the "Minimum Age".

This build includes a bug fix from version 2.2 that prevented some devices from seeing the live camera scanner. (The new DataScanViewController isn't available on all iOS 16 devices.)

Check ID 2.0 has been rewritten to use iOS 11's Vision barcode-recognition framework. The app is universal and supports all compatible iOS devices. Check ID also now rotates to landscape on iPhone and all directions on iPad.

Barcode scanning is *much* faster and more reliable with Check ID 1.6!
• All devices scan significantly faster in lower lighting conditions.
• Partially obscured barcodes now work better.
• Maryland drivers licenses now scan properly.

Check ID now handles Date of Birth (DBB) if it contains spaces, hyphens, or other characters that separate month, day, and year. For example, some older state driver licenses encode dates like: 08-24-1990
