The Helium Wallet v2.7.0 release adds a significant improvement to the transaction preview screen that provides more detail to the wallet holder on actions a transaction may be taking on your assets. This is particularly useful to alert a user on suspicious activity. As always, please be careful when signing transactions on chain, especially when your Hotspots and your assets are involved.

The v2.6.3 release is a bugfix and performance release that includes a fix to the closed vote view, adds further improvements to priority fees during periods of Solana congestion, and improves claiming through a Ledger hardware device

The Helium Wallet v2.6.0 release adds two key features for the Helium community:

▶ Direct participation in Helium Governance and management of locked tokens
▶ Automatic priority fees to ensure transactions land on Solana

Many users have already been managing their locked token balances via Realms in the in-app browser, so we've added the functionality to natively support locking, unlocking, and delegating your HNT, IOT, and MOBILE balances. This feature mirrors functionality already on-chain but improves the user experience for Wallet App users.

Helium Modular Governance is preparing to launch soon, and the Helium Community will migrate away from Realms during the transition.

Additionally, we've recognized sporadic issues with landing transactions on Solana during brief periods of congestion. To help app users, we've implemented an automatic priority fee management feature that should transparently improve user experience to ensure transactions are executed. If you prefer to avoid paying the increased priority fee, you now have the option to come back later and try again. Today, these priority fees are minimal.

This release also includes several performance related improvements across the entire application. Things should be much quicker for many users with multiple accounts.

The Helium Wallet v2.5.0 release adds several new features for the Helium community:

▶ Allow users to self-onboard Hotspots when Makers do not have enough Data Credits
▶ Better handling of token conversion for location assertion
▶ Adds swap warning when size of the swap has a significant market impact

Although the update allows self-onboarding of Hotspots, owners must have enough HNT or DC to go through this process. In almost all cases, manufacturers sold Hotspots with the expectation that they'd cover onboarding costs. This release doesn't remove them from this or other responsibilities.

This release also resolves several bugs reported by the ecosystem.

The v2.4.0 release builds upon prior releases and existing Solana ecosystem functionality to help manage Solana transaction costs (and "rent" costs) for all Helium users. As all activity on Solana requires a small amount of SOL in your account (instead of implicit HNT burn in the old Helium L1), this feature enables setting up HNT, MOBILE, or IOT to be swapped for SOL through Jupiter whenever necessary.

The Helium Wallet v2.3.1 is primarily a bugfix release but includes a feature to help repair partially onboarded Hotspots. When a Hotspot maker doesn't have sufficient funds to cover onboarding Data Credits, a Hotspot ends up in an intermediate state on-chain and needs to be repaired. You can now repair this state in the app when the maker tops up their Data Credit balance.

The Helium Wallet v2.3.0 release adds several new features for the Helium community:

▶ Solana-specific Ledger Wallet support for the Helium Wallet app. Some old users of the Wallet app may remember support for Ledger devices on the old Helium L1 but this required a total overhaul for the Solana ecosystem. We’re glad to have this back and available to the Helium community.
▶ Directly open community explorers like Hotspotty and Moken from Hotspot details to dive into more information about your assets.
▶ Initial support to onboard and manage WiFi on Bluetooth-enabled Hotspots on the Helium network. This is a much requested feature by Helium community members as some Maker-specific applications run on different development schedules than others.
▶ First class support for wallet address alias domain services like AllDomains (.monke, .btc, etc.) and Bonfida (.sol).

This release also resolves several bugs around wallet creation, map centering for location assertion, and adds helpful warnings to wallets that are low on SOL for transactions.

The developers of the Helium ecosystem strongly recommend an upgrade to v2.3.0.

This release greatly speeds up claim all functionality and fixes bugs when users have a large number of Hotspots. It also addresses some minor bugs with word entry in wallet import.

We strongly recommend upgrading to v2.2.2 of the Helium Wallet app.

This bugfix release addresses a UX issue where users could inadvertently convert HNT to Data Credits when thinking that they were converting to IOT or MOBILE. We strongly recommend upgrading to v2.2.1 of the Helium Wallet app.
