About Seeing Assistant Home
La aplicación Seeing Assistant Home es una aplicación desarrollada por Transition Technologies S.A., que tiene como objetivo apoyar a personas ciegas y a personas con deficiencia visual en su vida cotidiana. Seeing Assistant Home permite a los usuarios ciegos el reconocimiento de colores, la detección de la fuente de luz y a las personas con deficiencia visual el uso de la lupa electrónica. Permite igualmente leer y generar códigos de barras y códigos QR. HomeAssistant fué creada en estrecha colaboración con personas con discapacidad visual con el fin de satisfacer lo mejor posible las necesidades de los usuarios.
Funciones:
• Escanear códigos de barras con formato EAN-13/UPC-A, Code 128, Code 39, así como códigos QR
• Guardar los códigos de barras escaneados con su propia descripción
• Generar códigos de barras con formato EAN-13 y códigos QR
• Reconocer colores
• Detectar la fuente de luz
• Uso de la lupa electrónica
•Integración con el servicio Dropbox

Description of changes:
In the option (detect text) we have added the function of quick scanning and recognition of texts. It has been optimized not only for reading inscriptions from cards, packaging, computer screens, etc. But also all types of inscriptions that can be found e.g. in urban space: shop signs, traditional and electronic information boards. To some extent, this function works even when scanning in moving vehicles. Good luck reading the world!: D
Important! For scanning, the text must be positioned correctly - as for reading.
In the quick text recognition function we have introduced several switches and gestures that allow you to adjust various parameters of its operation, e.g. a shake gesture turns the diode on and off and the Magic tap (double-tap with two fingers) pauses the text read by the synthesis and initiates reading on demand.
If you want to read a small inscription, e.g. from a TV remote button, take a blank page, make a small hole in it, place a button in it and perform a scan with text recognition. If you want to hear the button again, cover it with your finger for a moment and discover it.
A visual consultation with a sighted person may be useful for a better understanding of the possibilities of scanning and recognizing texts.
