About Urbi — Dubai Map
Urbi provides:
- Verified information on over 200k organizations (including public institutions such as hospitals, schools, police stations, and etc.);
- Addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, websites, working hours and payment methods;
- Detailed 3D maps with such attributions as – buildings’ amount of floors, driveways, kiosks and fences;
- Car routing and searching for public transportation routes with transfers and pedestrian crossings;
- Navigator with CarPlay support. Get directions to your favourite places, any address or business with the actual traffic situation in mind.
Urbi allows you to:
- Find the location of the company you are looking for, find out its phone number and make a call;
- Find the desired location on the map of the city: a building (using its address), a public transport station or just a well-known object;
- Tap on any building on the map and find out its address, amount of floors and organizations that reside there;
- Find all companies in a specific business area, view them on the map, and filter out the ones that are open at a convenient time or right now;
- Find how to get to your destination by car or by public transport;
- Identify your location and find out what is close to you.
Once Urbi is installed, select the city you need to download the data. The application does not require an Internet connection to operate with the directories and maps. Afterwards, you can receive the most up-to-date information every month with just one tap using the built-in automatic update system.
Business listings are verified by Urbi’s own call-centre and ‘field teams’, who update the databases on a monthly basis. 2GIS maps are created by professional cartographers based on up-to-date satellite images and with regular on-site verification.

We've put the holiday decorations away to make room for some updates.
Now, when you add a photo of a place to 2GIS, we help you find it faster: images from your gallery taken near that place will be shown first.
We also updated the design of our collections of cool places and city guides. You’ll find them at their usual spot in the app: check the sidebar menu → Interesting places.

We’ve freshened up the design of the home screen and made the Well-placed Tips section smarter: it now offers relevant travel guides, companies and categories based on the time and day of the week. We've also added the ability to rate any company without the need for a review: just click on the stars if you don't feel like writing anything. And most importantly — lots of CarPlay improvements. Switching between CarPlay and the app is faster and more convenient — that's one. In a couple of clicks you can go to the overview of the entire route — that's two. CarPlay now shows you how far you have to drive to home or work — that's three. Improved search screen — four. CarPlay now shows traffic jams and parking lots — that's five. Interface adapted for right-hand drive cars - six.

Introducing the new route finder!
The route building screen has been completely overhauled: we redesigned the interface, made new mechanics for choosing and comparing routes, and added more information about the route so that you can learn in advance what awaits you on the way. Make sure to try it and tell us what you think.
By the way, there was a bug with the display of buses on the map — worry not, we've already fixed it!

This release is packed with exciting updates.
We redesigned the company cards to make essential elements easier to locate and got rid of redundant ones. Cherry on top — large and noticeable photos are now right there when you open a card.
We also sorted photos by topic. Now you can view photos of companies from inside and outside, menus, and other useful images separately in their respective folders.

May updates for our lovely users! Here is what we've got:
- The search engine now understands your queries better: just type what product or service you are looking for, and the app will suggest the relevant category for searching. For example, for “Phở bò”, we will suggest Vietnamese cuisine.
- Now the map displays elevation differences in the mountains and depths in water bodies. Zoom out to see the map in its full glory!

- Added Traffic option to the Layers menu. Now you can view traffic jams by tapping the respective option in the Layers or via the good old button on the main screen.
- Now we recognize gravel roads on pedestrian and bicycle routes. We'll let you know in advance where exactly your path gets uncomfortable and we'll suggest a bypass.
- Want your daily 10 000 steps? We'll help you plan your walks: now Urbi not only shows the travel time and burned calories, but also calculates how many steps it'll take.

In this update, we introduce a new layer with tourist objects. It highlights the most notable city sights on the map. Tap on them, learn something new, build walking routes. Summer is here, and so are these fresh and juicy updates.
We made a navigator for bicycles and scooters for everyone who chooses eco-friendly transportation. There are several routes to choose from, a height indicator, and voice instructions. Also, we upgraded the main screen of the app and added smart destination suggestions to get directions in one tap.

- Now you can use the app without downloading the city database to your device. All Urbi features are available through the internet. You can still download the city any time, just in case.
