Expertise on Demand (EoD) Remote Assist allows Hitachi High-Tech Europe GmbH to provide customers with a tool to significantly improve response times and maintenance, repair and support processes as well as reducing onsite and travel costs for experts.
It can help us support any Hitachi High-Tech SEM, TEM, FIBSEM, DRSEM or CDSEM under warranty or selected service contract.

INDIVIDUAL & GROUP CHAT
Individual and group chat for text communications with file sharing feature for use for quick/immediate data exchange with experts who can assist with your technical questions.
ONLINE/OFFLINE ANNOTATIONS
Customers and experts can draw and write directly onto real world objects during video calls. For Low/No WiFi or mobile data scenarios, simply take a screenshot or photo, annotate it and send it.

Guest Access
Experts can now invite anyone to join Remote Assist via Guest Access. With the click of a button Experts can generate Guest Access codes. Invited guests simply join Remote Assist via a shared Guest Access code. Once logged in, guest users will be connected directly with the Expert who generated the code.
The Guest Access package is an add-on to your normal Remote Assistlicense. Guest users only have access to a limited feature set of Remote Assist for a maximum of 30 days.

Delete Users
* For easier user management admins can delete users in the Admin Portal.
Delete Shared Files
* To remove images and videos sent by accident or files that are out of date, experts and technicians can now delete files they sent from the chat history of an incident.
Archive Incidents
* For an incident overview that is always up to date, users can archive incidents they do not want to monitor anymore.
Minor Bug Fixes
* Screen sharing works reliably when using a VPN network
* Pictures taken and shared on iOS are not rotated by 90° anymore
