About AV1
AV1 is the app that belongs to a personal robot. The robot works as a stand-in for children who are unable to attend school. For longer hospitalisation and chronic illness, the robot can help the child stay in contact with their class and friends.
When the app is opened, AV1 is switched on and your child will see and hear whatever the robot sees and hears. The child can talk to anyone near the AV1 through the speakers. The child can move the robot by swiping on the mobile or tablet touchscreen.

The app has a new and modern design. Enjoy!
Operating the robot with touchscreen controls should now feel smoother and more responsive.
Arrow controls have been improved.
More responsive layouts for tablet and Chromebook devices.
Attempting to connect to WiFi while the robot is off will now give a more informative message.
Phone number inputs are now formatted correctly.
Fixed an issue where the user would get stuck while inputting the PIN.
Text and wording has been updated in places to be more precise and informative.
Resolved some issues that would slow down the app after prolonged use.
Unpairing the robot will now correctly display the corresponding information screen.
Other minor issues have also been resolved.

Everyone deserves to feel included! We have therefore made the AV1 app even easier to use :)
Tap to move lets you tap on a point on the screen you want AV1 to focus on. This is implemented with pupils who are struggling with swipe movements in mind.
We have also made it possible to control AV1 with on-screen arrows. The feature has been implemented to better accommodate children who use external tools to control their phones.

We have fixed a few bugs, and more importantly, we have added some useful info in the app. You will now get a notice if the AV1 is on a poor network and you will be able to troubleshoot the WiFi if something seems to be wrong.
