Thanks for using Tidecast! This version (1.4.0) includes a noticeable change in the map UI. There are now three pin colors - blue (reference stations), red (subordinate stations), and the new green color which indicates a reference station with water temp instrumentation. Green pins will display water temp on the detail view for that station. Out of the roughly 3,200 tide stations NOAA provides around 245 with water temperature instrumentation. These are distributed throughout the US and other territories.

The current wind speed and bearing (direction) is now displayed on the station detail view along with the other current weather. We have also added a new capability to share a tide day in the 60-Day Tide view. Simply select the day and click the share button on the top-right. This can be handy in sharing specific tide and moon data with someone else through iMessage or social media. We are still testing this feature so let us know what you think.

There are roughly 240 fixed tide stations that provide real-time water temperature, so we're bringing it to you! If the station provides the data, you will see it displayed just under the lat/lon values in the top area of the detailed predictions view.

Note: This data is only available from reference stations (blue pins on the map view). And, not all of the reference stations measure temperature.
