About Car Timer: speed test
Car Timer was built to help you time the acceleration and the top speed of your car.
The app provides the option to have the timer in a 0-100km/h / 0-60mph mode or in a 0-50km/h / 0-30mph, have it record the top speed in km/h or mph, or a completely custom run that you set, meaning that no matter where you are and no matter what car you have, you can always rely on the Car Timer to track your car's performance.
And now, the app can even track 1/4 or 1/8 mile (0-400m or 0-200m) runs, making Car Timer one of the most complete app of its kind on the Store today!
Inside the app, there is an option to share your results so that you can show your friends just how fast your car is. For computing the precise time it takes your car to achieve the required speed, the app uses some clever techniques to estimate just when the speed is reached, as the GPS is only providing updates about the speed about once a second once you start moving.
Always obey the existing traffic rules and follow the posted signs!

• there is now an option to enable 'Enhanced start detection'; this makes use of the accelerometer to detect when a run has started but with the GPS inside of the iPhone being so precise already, this mode will benefit only users who are stationary and receive speed updates (for example, around tall buildings when the GPS has trouble pointing to a precise location and moves around);
• buttons inside the app will now perform the expected actions (changing modes will stop a run, the start and stop buttons cannot be enabled both at once and so on);
• various other bug fixes and improvements.

In this update:
· a graph with the recorded speed of the car is available now from the results page exclusively for our PRO customers (recordings starting from this update only);
· the results page now beautifully displays each kind of results separately;
· when you do a Top speed recording, the speedometer will display the top speed recorded so far right under the time elapsed;
· a confirmation window appears now before deleting records to prevent accidental deletes;

In this update, we've improved the logic for the algorithm that decides when a run can start, so the app should be more reliable!

Car Timer has a new mode that will track a 0-400m or 1/4 mile run, just as promised! We also added texts with the units used on the new Speedometer and beautiful new colors to the text that shows the status of the timer. And on top of that, we ensured that the app works perfectly on the new iOS 14!
We wanted to release this update a lot sooner for you, but we found issues in the logic handling the different possible modes and we had to rewrite the logic handling these modes and when a run can/cannot start. Don't worry, we've tested everything out and it should work just fine now.

Car Timer now has a new, beautifully designed Speedometer that you can use when timing your car's acceleration.
We also performed other improvements under the hood, and we are getting ready to launch features such as Push Notifications. On the right side of this speedometer, we plan to display your acceleration and we are already testing an implementation of this but it is not yet ready for release. Also, we plan to give you the option to time the car up to a speed that you want (e.g. 0-150km/h) and give several other options such as timing a 1/4 mile run.
