Quickly back to your planned komoot or GPX route
As eBike-fans we know the problem: you're enjoying the view or the landscape – and then you simply miss the next turn and deviate from the planned route. You need to reroute – now this feature has been fundamentally improved for imported routes (from komoot or via GPX file). If you deviate from your planned route, we will automatically calculate the best way back to your original planned trip. Once you're back on your original route, it will be displayed again as usual.

eBike Flow app with iPhone 7 or older
With every update, we optimize and improve the eBike Flow app. In order to offer you a unique experience in terms of functionality and performance, in future the eBike Flow app will only support Apple versions from iPhone 8 onwards with iOS 16 or higher. Unfortunately, owners of an iPhone 7 or older will no longer be able to receive further updates for the eBike Flow app.

Once you've downloaded the new version of the eBike Flow app, update your eBike with the smart system using the eBike Flow app. This way you can take advantage of all the features and improvements we have listed here. When doing this, please make sure that all components are attached to your eBike before you update it.

In addition, new information is now available in the 'Digital Service Book': Your specialist dealer can check and report on the performance of your battery. In future, this test result will also be displayed in the digital service book.

Kiox 300 and Kiox 500 – think dynamically like you.

With our new "dynamic screen" function, you automatically receive the information that suits your current riding situation: When you ride uphill, you see your power, your cadence and the elevation covered.
You may be asking yourself: how does my eBike know whether I'm riding uphill, downhill or on a level surface? Your drive unit recognises the gradient value, sends it to your display – and your Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 shows you everything automatically.
In the settings of the eBike Flow app under "My eBike" > "Display configuration" you can activate the dynamic screen. To do this you have to create it as a new screen. Before riding, you select the dynamic screen on Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 and the rest is automatic.


Whether belt, band or smartwatch: heart rate monitor in the smart system

The community has spoken – and we've listened to you: A popular feature is now coming to the smart system. With immediate effect, you can connect your heart rate monitor to your eBike via Bluetooth and track your heart rate on Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 while riding.
To connect, you use the eBike Flow app. Here's how it works: For example, have your chest strap ready, go to the eBike Flow app settings under "My eBike" > "eBike Pass" > "Components" and add your new device. Please note that the device must be in connection mode to be paired. In addition, you must actively add this new screen on Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 – via the "Display configuration" function under "My eBike".


Uphill, downhill: Discover the elevation graph of your next ride

With immediate effect, you can keep an eye on the elevation graph of your current ride on Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 and be pleased with what you have already achieved. While you navigate, your display also shows you which ascents and recovery phases await you.
The new “Elevation” screen can also be added in the eBike Flow app using the “Display configuration” function under “My eBike”.
And don't forget: there must always be a connection between the phone and eBike in order to utilise the benefits of this function.


Favourite riding modes – put together what suits you best.

With this update, we give you the opportunity to put together your four favourite modes from all the riding modes available for your eBike – and customise them as usual. Instead of the economical Eco mode, you can use the Auto mode, for example, which automatically adapts the support to the environmental conditions.
You can find this new function on the home screen or in the settings of the eBike Flow app under “Individual riding modes”.


Turn support into motivation. New displays for Kiox 300 and Kiox 500: “Use of riding modes” and “Power share”

Two new screens for Kiox 300 and Kiox 500 now show you how you are doing on your current ride. Simply select the appropriate riding mode while riding and you will see how your own performance compares to the motor support. To see the "power distribution" in percent in the display, use the screen of the same name. Maybe this will motivate you to achieve your fitness goal next time with less support from the electric motor.
You add the new screens using the display configuration function under “My eBike”.


Navigate flexibly while riding: Quick Menu for Kiox 300 and Kiox 500

You can customise destinations by starting navigation to one of your most recent destinations. You can also stop your currently active navigation. To do this, hold down the selection button of the LED Remote, Mini Remote or Purion 200 for longer than one second without removing your phone from your pocket.

Always at hand: the digital eBike pass: With the eBike pass you receive an overview of important information about your eBike. Data about your eBike, such as the model and installed components, is stored here. You can also add further details manually, for example your eBike's frame number, documents and special features.
This not only helps your specialist dealer with questions about your eBike, but also comes in handy if it is stolen or you sell it because all the relevant information is immediately to hand.
You can find the eBike pass in the settings of your eBike Flow app under “My eBike”. Here, you can also store the most important information and documents.
Tip: Take a photo of your eBike right now and save the image in the eBike pass.

Rapid assistance with the theft report: Time is ticking away. If someone steals your eBike, you need to act quickly and report it to the police. With the theft report, you can respond immediately. That way, you increase your chances of getting your eBike back.
In the event of theft, a document can be automatically produced with all important information about the incident and details of the eBike. This theft report uses the data entered from the eBike pass function. With eBike Alarm, you can also add the most recent location or a live tracking link.
You can report your eBike as stolen in the settings of the eBike Flow app under “My eBike". Enter the time and location and describe the incident. To make it easier to reach you, fill in your details with your name and phone number. The theft report automatically adopts further information from the eBike pass. It's therefore best to fill it out right away.

Further improvements: To access your eBike's settings even faster, you can now tap on the eBike image or your name on the home screen.

Flexible navigation as you ride: quick menu in the ride screen
Would you welcome the flexibility to change your navigation destination while riding without having to stop? The new Quick Menu in the Ride screen makes this possible. You can customise destinations by starting navigation to one of your most recent destinations. You can also stop your currently active navigation. To do this, hold down the selection button of the LED Remote, Mini Remote or Purion 200 for longer than one second without removing your smartphone from the mount.
But be careful: keep your hands on the handlebar. After all, this feature was developed for your safety. Change destination, maintain an overview, ride safely.

From A via B to C - adding stopovers
A refreshing stopover by a lake, followed by a detour to a beer garden - sounds like the perfect day, doesn't it? The advanced route planning of the eBike Flow app lets you incorporate such moments into your rides more effectively. Design your route exactly the way you want it and incorporate individual stopovers with ease. The choice is yours: set your stopover directly on the map by pressing and holding or using the "Add destination" option. Our navigation system reliably guides you through your route - to every stopover, every new discovery and every highlight along the way to your final destination.

Up high: displaying the elevation profile directly during your ride
Conquer new heights and master every challenge. The elevation profile on your Ride screen now shows you during the ride what you have already achieved and what still lies ahead of you. The graph shows differences in altitude over the course of your ride. This means you know immediately which climbs and recovery phases still await you. Ideal if you want to keep an eye on your performance - completely in the flow.

Now fully integrated: eShift with enviolo
Automatic gear shifting is now possible with enviolo. Set your desired cadence directly in the Quick Menu on the Ride screen. The continuously variable shifting system with eShift responds fully automatically. This ensures you always ride in the right gear with an even cadence. You can now add eShift as a component to the eBike Flow app.

Keeping a close eye on your pulse: Heart rate from Apple Watch on Kiox 300 or Kiox 500
You can now keep an eye on your heart rate without having to constantly check your Apple Watch. The Apple Watch measures your heart rate and the Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 displays it. To do this, create a new screen with the display configuration in the eBike Flow app before your ride. This requires you to connect your Apple Watch in the eBike Flow app settings under "Connected services". You can track your heart rate directly on the handlebar and optimise your training without looking at your wrist.

As varied as your routine eBike life - customised display
Whether you're on the way to work, on windy trail rides or exploring new routes: every moment on the eBike is unique. This deserves an equally unique display. The Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 lets you decide what you want to see. You can customise existing screens directly in the app - from the ride data displayed to the sequence of information. But why not take things even further? With more than 30 items of information available and customisable ads, you can create your own personal display. Choose between layouts with one, two or three tiles and set everything up according to your preferences. This ensures you always have an overview of what is important to you.

Taking security to the next level
You may already be familiar with our eBike Lock function, which turns your smartphone into a digital key. We take things one step further: This update gives you another "key option" for securing and unlocking your eBike - the Kiox 300 or Kiox 500. This feature is the intuitive way to protect your eBike. How does that work? It's as intuitive as it sounds: simply remove the display from the mount and stow it safely. Motor support is now deactivated and your eBike is protected against theft.
Want to saddle up for your next ride? Reinstall the display and use it to activate motor support. Intuitive handling, simple security.

Share the riding fun, not your smartphone - Kiox 300 and Kiox 500 as the key
Love spending time on your eBike and want to share the enjoyment with family or friends? This is now much easier. You can set up multiple displays as keys for an eBike without having to hand over your smartphone. This option is available with the Kiox 300 or Kiox 500. It makes it easier for others to use and ride your eBike. You can find this function in the eBike Flow app settings under My eBike > Lock & Alarm.

Full control using smartphone unlocking - twice the security
We don't want to compromise on theft protection - even if your mind is somewhere else during your coffee break. The new update adds an extra layer of security to close this gap.
As you relax in your favourite café with your eBike parked outside, you can use the "Hold to unlock" button in the eBike Flow app to make sure that no one unlocks your eBike unintentionally. Simply deactivate the "Automatic unlock" function in the settings and your eBike will remain locked.
When you are ready to continue your journey, simply press and hold down the "Hold to unlock" button to manually unlock your eBike. A short beep confirms unlocking. This is how we combine comfort and safety - just as you expect from your eBike experience.

Connect and protect – with Flow+:
We cordially invite you to Flow+! The new digital home for premium services and features – for all eBikes with the smart system from Bosch. Flow+ is available as a practical subscription via your eBike Flow app.

The first premium service from Flow+, it protects your eBike and saves your nerves. Because eBikes are also popular with thieves. Make it hard for thieves and easy for you: Get Flow+ and activate eBike Alarm. This automatically activates an alarm function every time you switch off your eBike. No matter whether you park it for a short time or are away for a longer period – you can stay connected to your eBike via your smartphone and know where it is.

Please note: You can use eBike Alarm free of charge for the first twelve months after activation in the eBike Flow+ app. After that, your Flow+ subscription will renew automatically for the duration of the selected payment interval (monthly or annually).

The technical requirement for the additional digital theft protection is the ConnectModule. Simply ask your trusted dealer whether your eBike is compatible with the smart system from Bosch with the ConnectModule.

The Help Center knows you and your eBike – and therefore only displays the content that is suitable for you and your eBike. Thanks to new texts, more pictures and numerous videos, you can now find the information you need or the solution you require more quickly and in a more targeted way.

As unique as you are – your eBike in the detail view:
Your eBike is more than just pedals, battery and handlebars: The eBike Flow app now synchronises additional details of your eBike. Find out which brake or cassette is installed in your eBike – directly in the app settings. For example, you can precisely assess the performance of your eBike or prepare for upcoming maintenance or upgrades. Many bike brands already use this feature and more will in the future too.

Further improvements
You can now load routes that you have created yourself or received as GPX files into the eBike Flow app.

We have made a few minor improvements.

FIT with more fitness data: From now, you can export a completed activity as a GPX file and directly share it. The new FIT format also stores information such as your average performance or maximum cadence. With it, you can easily export your fitness data to analyse it in detail, use it in your videos or share it.

Good things come to those who sweat: We have added an important statistic to your fitness data: calories. After each ride, you can see the calories you've burned in your activity details.

The final touch: You want a better overview of your planned routes? That's what our latest update brings you. If you retrospectively modify a route that you have already created, you can now save it under a different name.

Komoot in Flow: Your Komoot data is now automatically and thus even more quickly synchronised with the eBike Flow app. Of course, you can also continue to import the routes you have created manually.

Note: To use the eBike Flow app, you need at least iOS 15.

Eyes straight ahead: When riding your eBike, you should concentrate on the road. That's why we've added a new feature to the navigation that makes this easier: From now on, turn-by-turn directions can be given by voice or as short tones. Simply follow the audio instructions to continue to reach your destination safely. The option can be set in the ride screen: During navigation, you can select at the top right of the screen whether navigation should take place with or without voice output. You ride smartphone on the handlebar or with your Kiox 300? No problem - the audio instructions also work with the mobile phone in your pocket if you use headphones, for example.
Navigation as it should be: On the trail, every second counts. We know that too. When you navigate with Kiox 300, you now get even more details. From now on you can see junctions, descents and turns. So, you stay in the flow.
Re-routing, quick and easy: If you deviate from your originally planned route, the eBike Flow app immediately calculates an alternative - without annoying instructions that force you to turn back. Just keep going. We'll show you the new route in seconds.
Come to the dark side: A new display option for the map during navigation is the "Dark map". The dark design is not only easy on the eyes, but also on the battery of the smartphone. You can activate this option during route planning under Map > select route profile > Map details.
Navigate smart, arrive on time: We have optimised the calculation of the arrival time so that the navigation learns from your previous journeys and responds even more precisely to you and your driving behaviour. By the way: With this update, we are trying out a new function. With the help of artificial intelligence, we suggest certain routes to you. This way, we can take many different factors into account and offer you even better, customised solutions for your route planning in the future. Please help us with your feedback by rating the route planning in the app.
Two factors determine your cycling performance: How much power you can put on the pedal and how fast you can turn the crank. With the new display in the ride screen, you can track your cadence and the power you are putting in to optimise your ride and fitness.
While riding, you can now also keep an eye on the current altitude and gradient values and enjoy your progress every now and then.
The two additional displays can be called up via the ride screen. Use the LED Remote or the Mini Remote in combination with the System Controller while riding.
Hey man, where's my eBike? Admit it, you've asked yourself this question too! With the Bosch ConnectModule (available at your local dealer) and eBike Alarm, you can park your eBike safely and be informed if your eBike gets lost. But what if you yourself have forgotten where you parked your eBike? It's easy: the street where your eBike is parked is immediately displayed on the Home Screen under your name. Click on it to see the exact position on the map.
Critical messages: Since the safety of your eBike is very important to us, we have made sure that you are always informed about what is happening with your eBike in critical situations. Therefore, make sure that the option "Critical notifications" is activated in the settings of your iPhone under Notifications > eBike Flow App.
Rename completed activity: As soon as you start pedaling, each of your activities is recorded. You can now freely choose the title of each activity. Also use emojis to express your mood.
Add new components: Now you can easily and quickly connect your Intuvia 100 and Mini Remote to the smart system using the eBike Flow app. To do this, go to My eBike > eBike Info in the settings of the eBike Flow app and add your new device. Follow the instructions in the app.

We have made a number of minor bug fixes and improvements - for example, we have ensured that you will be able to access the ride screen as expected.

- Custom riding modes: Decide whether you want the Drive Unit to support you more when starting off, or extend your battery life by reducing the maximum speed. You can now also customise the Tour+ and eMTB dynamic riding modes using the "Custom riding modes" function. Prerequisite: Your bike manufacturer has configured the riding modes for your eBike in advance. You can find out which riding modes you can adjust and what this adjustment can do under Settings > My eBike > Custom riding modes in the eBike Flow app.

- Navigation for S-pedelecs: During the development of this version of the eBike Flow app, we also thought about the fast ones among you and extended the route planning to include the specifications for S-pedelecs. In doing so, we have also taken country-specific requirements into account.

- We also fixed some minor bugs and made improvements and translated the eBike Flow app into Czech, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian.

We have improved the situation around the connection issues that caused tracking failures with the ConnectModule and eBike Alarm.

Transport mode: If you transport your eBike, for example in a car or on the train, you can now use the transport mode. This temporarily deactivates eBike Alarm and your ConnectModule. This prevents false alarms from the motion sensors. Go to the settings of the eBike Flow app and click on "My eBike" to activate the transport mode.

Map details: Navigation and route planning are now even more individual! In addition to the route profiles, you can now display three types of map details: "eBike Heatmap" shows you heavily traveled routes. "Satellite" provides a simplified satellite view for more overview and details. "MTB Trails" shows you where mountain bike routes are located in your area. In addition, you can now select your desired route profile via quick selection when planning a route.

komoot: From now on, only routes that are marked as a "Bike" category in komoot will be imported into the eBike Flow app.

We have also fixed some minor bugs and made improvements: for example, activity data and riding times are now correctly transferred to Apple Health - even if you paused a trip for a longer time.

First things first: After you have updated the eBike Flow app, please make sure that you also update your eBike with the smart system. Only then can you use the functions and improvements that we have listed here.

Navigation: The navigation feature for your Kiox 300 display is here! Once connected to your smart system eBike, plan and start your ride using your smartphone. Kiox 300 will auto-magically show the planned route in a clear and minimalist way – so you can focus on what is in front of you on the road or trail. And there’s more: Start pedalling and the view on the display rotates in the direction of movement while riding. Get turn-by-turn directions. Take a detour, and you will instantly get new directions. Get notified when you lose satellite connection. On top of all of that, you can see detailed information about your trip – such as the estimated time of arrival, for example.

Service book: Your Bosch eBike dealer can now synchronise the data from your service appointments to the eBike Flow app. Just visit the ‘My eBike’ section in the app settings and find out what was taken care of when your eBike went in for a service. And remember to give your two-wheeler specialist a friendly hint on this new feature, too!

Recent searches: You don't need to keep searching for the same address or location. Just tap in the ‘search’ field on the map screen to view your recently searched items.

New displays and control units: Do you have our new System Controller, Mini Remote or Intuvia 100 installed on your eBike? Our eBike Flow app now supports these, too!

eBike Lock: To make life easier for both you and your eBike dealer, we added a reminder to disable eBike Lock before leaving your eBike with your dealer for service.

eBike Alarm: When you activate your ConnectModule for the first time, we display the status on the home screen. Once done, we notify you that eBike Alarm is ready to be used.

Over-the-air-updates: You can now enable automatic downloads for system updates of your eBike with the smart system. In addition, you can now limit your smartphone’s data usage for eBike updates to WiFi only.

You may notice some minor changes in the app performance.

Currently, an eBike with the smart system from Bosch can only be connected to one account at a time. If you want to establish a connection to an eBike already connected to a different eBike Flow app account, there is a new option that helps you contact the previous owner to request they release the ownership of the eBike.
