About Perimount Durability Estimator

The Perimount Durability Calculator is based on the single center retrospective follow up study of the Carpentier Edwards Perimount Valve in aortic and mitral implant position. This data is designed in an App format to help guide clinicians on expected performance of the Perimount valve in different age groups.

The performance of a tissue valve varies based on various patient factors (age/body type/BMR etc). There can be no one standard criteria for estimation of the performance of a tissue valve.This calculator is created to provide the clinician with a guide to estimate the expected performance of a Carpentier Edwards Perimount Valve based on real patient long term data. The values presented in the App are based on Very Long-Term Outcomes of the Carpentier-Edwards Perimount obtained by Bourguignon et al.
