About ABC Science Collaborative

ABC Science Collaborative aims to help students, staff, and parents slow the spread of COVID-19. They can take health surveys, get a Daily Pass for school, and report a diagnosis—right from their mobile device. It’s free, easy, and secure. Participating schools can use this app to put prevention into practice in their communities by identifying potential COVID-19 cases before students, staff, and teachers arrive at school.

TAKE DAILY HEALTH SURVEYS
Before leaving for school or school-sponsored activities, parents and staff will take a quick daily survey on COVID-19 (coronavirus) symptoms and risk factors. The app will then tell them if they or their student should go to school or stay home. Parents and guardians can take surveys for their students, and give their students permission to take the health surveys themselves.

GET A DAILY PASS
The Daily Pass will suggest whether students and staff should go to school or should stay home based on their COVID-19 risk factors. Students and staff members can view their Daily Pass in real-time by logging into their account. Parents and guardians can view all their students’ Daily Passes in one place.

SELF-REPORT A RECENT DIAGNOSIS
Parents and staff can let their schools know if they or their students have COVID-19. This information will help schools support students, staff, and the community’s health and well-being. Any information reported will be kept confidential and secure. Participant privacy is our top priority.

SET REMINDERS AND PERMISSIONS
Users can easily manage permissions and preferences in account settings. They can set personalized health survey reminders based on their schedule. Parents and guardians can also allow their students to self-report and take their own health surveys.

PROTECTING YOUR PRIVACY
The ABC Science Collaborative designed this app to protect your privacy. The app does not use GPS, Bluetooth, or other technologies—which means it can’t track or share your location or contact with other people or devices. ABC Science Collaborative will never reveal your identity to other app users, including self-reporting a COVID-19 diagnosis. No information about you, your location, or contacts will be automatically collected by downloading this app.
