Breathing done with intention can help implement the healing tools that are based on self-affirmations and self-motivation. Since a major impact of rejection is loss of self-esteem and self-confidence, the affirmations or mantras during breathing should reverse these losses. In addition, one needs affirmations that counter the desire to close in and to not participate in life. Finally affirmations should also help look inwards to see what positive changes can be made after rejection.
The breathing sequences presented in the Learning Studio of this app help the user open the body through movements that open the throat, the arms and the chest. The user is encouraged to learn these and use them in playlists to be performed during the day. In addition one can use the breath timing feature to alter the pace of these sequences.
The breath timing feature also has options that allow the user to choose a visualization image whose expansions and contractions help pace a breath sequence. Finally one can add an affirmation that can be chosen as described above. Many affirmations are provided for the user but new ones can be typed in as needed. Affirmations can be of these types:
I am valuable.
I am talented.
I am going to recover and grow.
I will seek new paths.
I will socialize.
