We have an app for that too!

The other side of the Trainer Plus platform is our ExerGuide app, which is a free library of exercises and workouts that you can browse, favorite, or make a list to request a program from a trainer.

Whether you are a beginner to the gym, or a seasoned veteran, the ExerGuide is a great companion to find exercises and variations for the equipment you have access to. If you are thinking of getting training, already have a trainer or want to train yourself, start with the ExerGuide and making a list of exercises for your program. You can invite your trainer or have us match you with one from there, then start tracking on Trainer+.

Our website has information about the entire platform.

What's New in the Latest Version 3.3.24

Last updated on Feb 13, 2023
Old Versions
This version adds a new 'Achievements' screen and badges for users to be able to see their all time stats. This includes a new Achievements screen that shows the badges that a user has accomplished, along with what the next badge to reach is and what is needed to get there. Users can see their all time workouts tracked, volume lifted and time spent working out. The volume badges are relative to different real world items, while the time badges relate to standard time periods (days, weeks, months, etc). Users can share the badges they have achieved and also receive a notification when they do achieve one.

It also adds an 'All Time' screen to the workout summary, which shows how that workout adds to the all time stats that a user has tracked.

3.3.18
Jul 28, 2021
There are a number of improvements in this version, and also new features that will add to the client experience and make the app more engaging. Many of the new features need the complement in the web app for trainers to be able to apply them, which will be coming out in the next weeks.

New Features:
- Video Link: there will now be a place for links to videos in workouts and exercises. This allows trainers to link videos from other places where they have uploaded them and will be opened outside of the app. This includes having streamed classes that can be followed on YouTube, browsers, social media, etc while being able to track them in Trainer Plus, along with videos for exercises which can include audio explanations.

- Past results graphs: users can now see a graph of the past results for the last 6 weeks, 12 weeks, 6 months and 12 months for workouts completed, sets completed, volume and time. This allows users to easily see how they are doing in the current timeframe versus the past. It shows an average for the timeframe and calculates whether you are currently doing better or worse. The graphs can be accessed from the Past Results screen.

- Workout details screen: we have added a new screen to show the results from a tracked workout. Now, when a date is pressed on the Past Results calendar, a new screen comes up to show the summary and workout results, along with the trainer notes. This helps set up the trainer follow up note feature to open directly on this screen from the notification.

Improvements:

- Horn audio for rest time: there is now a horn that sounds when rest time expires which can be toggled on/off from the pop up or settings

- Added workout descriptions to the Program View so users can read this before hitting Start Workout

- Added more error handling so we can get more details if any issues come up in the app and be more proactive to find and fix them

- Added more different error codes for log in, so that it is more clear if a log in fails what has happened

Issues Fixed:

- Getting put back out to sign in screen when error happens on tracking workouts

- Fixed crash if 'Launch App' is hit from welcome screens

- App showing no program if the program has been updated and app is still on Program View

In this version we made a new feature for users to be able to add exercises when tracking a workout, along with some other small fixes. New Features:

New Feature: Last Workout Results

Users can now see the results for an exercise the last time that exercise was completed. From the exercise card, you can swipe and see the 'Previous' or from the set view there is an icon beside the exercise picture to show the previous result, and a pop up will display that has the exercise name, then the list of reps or time and weight for each set for the last time this exercise was completed.

This gives an easy way for trainers or users to see what was performed the last time while still being in the workout tracking screens in the app.
3.3.8
Jan 2, 2020
New features:
- We added a button so that you can copy the previous set results. If you make changes to the previous set by changing the weights or reps, this will allow you to copy those changes to the next set with one button instead of having to move the dials.

- Independent trainers will no longer be redirected to the 'Client List' screen, but will go directly to the 'Program View' instead
3.3.7
Dec 17, 2019
New Features:
- We have added a timer for timed exercises. When an exercise is prescribed as timed (instead of reps) there is now a 'start set' button for each set that when pressed, pops up a timer that will countdown the exercise and vibrate when the time is up.

Improvements:
- We have restyled the 'Program' screen so that it is easier to scroll in between workouts and the user can also see the complete list of workouts in the program, along with the end date, from the info button in a pop up.
- There is also a significant style change to the entire app, make the top navigation bar light grey instead of green, and making style changes to all screens to update the look and feel of the app. This also includes areas that scroll away in different screens.

Issues Fixed:

This includes changing the background color to white for the 'Next Assessment' section and having it scroll away when you scroll down the list, changing the color of the dates on the list to white and having the numbers more clear, and changing the bottom sub-navigation to white background with green icons.
